A percentile-based estimator for the log-logistic function: Application to forestry
Developing a simplified estimation method without compromising the performance of the distribution is germane to forest modelling. Few estimation methods exist for the Log-Logistic distribution and are relatively complex.

Objective Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon because of the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

In this paper, we first derive the exact explicit expressions for the single and product moments of order statistics from the type-II exponentiated log-logistic distribution, and then use these results to compute the means, variances, skewness and ...

Maximum Likelihood Estimation of the Parameters of Truncated Log-Logistic Distribution Based on Censored Samples [PDF]
In some reliability studies, observations may be truncated, which is similar to but different from censoring, arises when observations are actually observed only when they take on values in a particular range.

Objective Cam morphology, which is a significant risk factor for hip osteoarthritis, is commonly quantified by the alpha angle (AA). This study aims to explore the potential of the triangular index ratio (TIR) to quantify cam morphology on anteroposterior radiographs by assessing the association between TIR‐defined cam morphology and the development of

DISCRIMINATING BETWEEN LOG-LOGISTIC AND RAYLEIGH DISTRIBUTIONS
Test statistics based on likelihood function, order statistics, population quantiles are suggested to discriminate between log-logistic distribution and Rayleigh distribution. Because of non tractability of their exact sampling distributions, the percentiles of the proposed test statistics are tabulated with the help of simulated sampling distributions

Objective To investigate the association between rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and coronary artery calcium (CAC) prevalence, incidence, and progression over four years in adults without prior cardiovascular disease. Methods A case‐cohort study within the Brazilian Longitudinal Study of Adult Health (ELSA‐Brasil) included 585 participants (86 patients with ...

Extended Poisson-Log-Logistic Distribution
In this work, we introduce a new Poisson-log-logistic distribution with a physical interpretation and some applications. Some essential properties are derived. Modeling of four real data sets are provided to illustrate the wide applicability of the new model in differnt fields like finance, reliability, economy and medicine.

The Gut–Heart Axis in Systemic Sclerosis: Evidence From a Large Prospective Early Disease Cohort
Objective Cardiac involvement significantly impacts prognosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc), highlighting the need for early risk stratification. Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms are common and often manifest early. Emerging data suggest a link between GI and cardiac manifestations, possibly through shared mechanisms like dysautonomia.

Distinct Systemic Sclerosis Phenotypes Related to Ethnicity: An Opportunity to Personalize Care?
Objective The objective is to describe and compare demographic, clinical, and serological characteristics of patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) according to ethnic background. Methods Participants enrolled in the Canadian Scleroderma Research Group cohort who self‐identified to a single ethnicity group were included.
