MGM as a Large‐Scale Pretrained Foundation Model for Microbiome Analyses in Diverse Contexts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present the Microbial General Model (MGM), a transformer‐based foundation model pretrained on over 260,000 microbiome samples. MGM learns contextualized microbial representations via self‐supervised language modeling, enabling robust transfer learning, cross‐regional generalization, keystone taxa discovery, and prompt‐guided generation of realistic,

A note on empirical sample distribution of journal impact factors in major discipline groups [PDF]

open access: yes
What type of statistical distribution do the Journal Impact Factors follow? In the past, researchers have hypothesized various types of statistical distributions underlying the generation mechanism of journal impact factors. These are: lognormal, normal,

Evaluating the Utilities of Foundation Models in Single‐Cell Data Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study delivers the first systematic, task‐level evaluation of single‐cell foundation models across eight core analytical tasks. By benchmarking 10 leading models with the scEval framework, it reveals where foundation models truly add value, where task‐specific methods still dominate, and provides concrete, reproducible guidelines to steer the next

Optimum Times for Step-Stress Cumulative Exposure Model Using Log-Logistic Distribution with Known Scale Parameter

open access: yesAustrian Journal of Statistics, 2016
In this paper we assume that the life time of a test unit follows a log-logistic distribution with known scale parameter. Tables of optimum times of changing stress level for simple step-stress plans under a cumulative exposure model are obtained by ...

On Transmuted Four Parameters Generalized Log-Logistic Distribution [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Statistical Distributions and Applications, 2019
In this article we transmute the four parameters generalized log-logistic distribution using quadratic rank transmutation map to develop a transmuted four parameters generalized log-logistic distribution. The quadratic rank transmutation map helps to introduce extra parameter into the baseline distribution to enhance more flexibility in the analysis of

Discovery of SKP2‐Recruiting PROTACs for Target Protein Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Based on the SKP2‐targeting ligand SL1, we designed non‐covalent PROTACs by linking it with the BRD4 inhibitor JQ1 and the AR antagonist AL through a linker. These PROTACs successfully induced the ubiquitination of BRD4 and AR, followed by proteasome‐mediated degradation.
