Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Gevrey Asymptotics for Logarithmic-Type Solutions to Singularly Perturbed Problems with Nonlocal Nonlinearities

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2023
We investigate a family of nonlinear partial differential equations which are singularly perturbed in a complex parameter ϵ and singular in a complex time variable t at the origin. These equations combine differential operators of Fuchsian type in time t

Coefficients at powers of logarithms in the higher-derivatives and minimal-subtractions-of-logarithms renormalization scheme

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2022
For renormalizable theories with a single coupling constant regularized by higher derivatives we investigate the coefficients at powers of logarithms present in the renormalization constants assuming that divergences are removed by minimal subtractions of logarithms.

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Hankel Determinants for the Logarithmic Coefficients of a Subclass of Close-to-Star Functions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics
Suppose that ST1 is a class of close-to-star functions. In this paper, we investigated the estimate of Zalcman functional on the logarithmic coefficients and the third Hankel determinant for the class ST1 with the determinant entry of logarithmic ...

Transverse-momentum resummation for boson plus jet production at hadron colliders

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
We consider the associated production of a vector or Higgs boson with a jet in hadronic collisions. When the transverse momentum $$q_T$$ q T of the boson-jet system is much smaller than its invariant mass Q, the QCD perturbative expansion is affected by ...

Defect Evolution and Mechanical Performance of Fused Filament Fabrication‐Manufactured 17‐4PH Stainless Steel Revealed by X‐Ray Computed Tomography

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...

Enhancing Fatigue Crack Growth Resistance in Heterostructured Aluminum Bimetals by Tailored Interface Design

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Different Al/Al bimetals with a single engineered interface reveal how mechanical mismatch governs fatigue crack growth under cyclic loading. Additionally, loading–unloading–reloading tests link the microyielding behavior to the fatigue crack growth resistance, while crack‐path analysis reveals toughening mechanisms at the interface, highlighting ...

Microstructure Modification of Additively Manufactured Mo–9Si–8B by Annealing and Its Effects on High‐Temperature Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Postbuild annealing systematically modifies the phase fractions and morphology of EB‐PBF processed Mo–9Si–8B. Quantitative microstructure–property correlations reveal how controlled phase evolution enhances high‐temperature compressive strength and creep resistance.
