A Shortcut to (Sun)Flowers: Kernels in Logarithmic Space or Linear Time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We investigate whether kernelization results can be obtained if we restrict kernelization algorithms to run in logarithmic space. This restriction for kernelization is motivated by the question of what results are attainable for preprocessing via simple and/or local reduction rules.

A Data Driven Review of In Vitro Electrical and Mechanical Stimulation for Post‐Acute Phase Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how in vitro electrical and mechanical stimulation modulates wound healing in fibroblasts and keratinocytes. Analyzing over 560 experimental data points, we relate stimulation parameters to proliferation and migration outcomes, evaluate platform designs, and highlight the need for multi‐parameter optimization to advance targeted ...

Multi-Feature Fusion and Adaptive Kernel Combination for SAR Image Classification

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image classification is an important task in remote sensing applications. However, it is challenging due to the speckle embedding in SAR imaging, which significantly degrades the classification performance.

On the equivalence of heat kernel estimates and logarithmic Sobolev inequalities for the Hodge Laplacian

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we consider the Hodge Laplacian on differential k-forms over smooth open manifolds MN, not necessarily compact. We find sufficient conditions under which the existence of a family of logarithmic Sobolev inequalities for the Hodge Laplacian ...

Machine Learning Accelerated Computational Design of Bio‐Inspired Catalysts in the Nitrogen Reduction Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a computational workflow that combines quantum chemical calculations and machine learning techniques to predict the catalytic performance of a wide range of catalysts in the nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR). The analysis of the trained models provides insights into the complex structure–activity relationship in experimental catalytic ...

Polynomial Decay Rate for Kirchhoff Type in Viscoelasticity with Logarithmic Nonlinearity and Not Necessarily Decreasing Kernel

open access: yes, 2019
This paper describes a polynomial decay rate of the solution of the Kirchhoff type in viscoelasticity with logarithmic nonlinearity, where an asymptotically-stable result of the global solution is obtained taking into account that the kernel is not ...

Upper bounds on derivatives of the logarithm of the heat kernel [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Analysis and Geometry, 1998
Let \(M\) be a compact, connected Riemannian manifold and denote by \(\Delta\) the Levi-Civita Laplace operator on \(M\). Let \(p_t(x,y)\) be the fundamental solution of the Cauchy initial value problem for the diffusion equation \(u_t=\frac{1}{2}\Delta u\). The main result of this paper asserts that if \(n\) is an arbitrary positive integer then the \(

Flexible Chemiresistive Chitosan‐Glycerol Sensors on Laser‐Induced Graphene Electrodes for Room‐Temperature Ammonia Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Flexible Chitosan‐glycerol sensor integrated with porous laser‐induced graphene (LIG) electrodes enable room‐temperature chemiresistive detection of ammonia (NH3) and proof‐of‐concept detection of fish spoilage. ABSTRACT We report a metal‐free sensor platform combining laser induced graphene (LIG) electrodes with drop‐deposited, glycerol‐plasticized ...

The central emission vertex of two gravitons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
It has recently been shown that there exists an s-channel sequence of classical corrections [1] to the H diagram computed long ago by Amati, Ciafaloni and Veneziano [2].

AutomataGPT: Transformer‐Based Forecasting and Ruleset Inference for Two‐Dimensional Cellular Automata

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce AutomataGPT, a generative pretrained transformer (GPT) trained on synthetic spatiotemporal data from 2D cellular automata to learn symbolic rules. Demonstrating strong performance on both forward and inverse tasks, AutomataGPT establishes a scalable, domain‐agnostic framework for interpretable modeling, paving the way for future ...
