Logarithmic cost duration analysis
Total cost for project scheduling, in general, consists of two independent costs, indirect costs and direct costs. Indirect costs are proportional to project duration, with the penalty rate factor. Direct costs are related to the activity durations.

In this work, we developed a phase‐stability predictor by combining machine learning and ab initio thermodynamics approaches, and identified the key factors determining the favorable phase for a given composition. Specifically, a lower TM ionic potential, higher Na content, and higher mixing entropy favor the O3 phase.

Foreign labor, peer‐networking and agricultural efficiency in the Italian dairy sector
Abstract While the presence of immigrants in the agricultural sector is widely acknowledged, the empirical evidence on its economic consequences is lacking, especially from a microeconomic perspective. Using the Farm Accountancy Data Network panel data for Italian dairy farms in the period 2008–2018, the present study investigates the relationship ...

A control approach to robust utility maximization with logarithmic utility and time-consistent penalties [PDF]
We propose a stochastic control approach to the dynamic maximization of robust utility functionals that are defined in terms of logarithmic utility and a dynamically consistent convex risk measure.

A penalty method for nonlinear programming
This paper presents a variant of logarithmic penalty methods for nonlinear convex programming. If the descent direction is obtained through a classical Newton-type method, the line search is done on a majorant function.

Assessing the Impact of Promotions on Consumer Purchasing Behavior During Crises
ABSTRACT Understanding how households modify their food expenditure decisions during times of crisis is essential because consumer purchasing behavior frequently changes during these times. This study looks at these behavioral shifts during the COVID‐19 pandemic, concentrating on how price sensitivity and response to sales promotions changed over the ...
