Multi‐Scale Interface Engineering of MXenes for Multifunctional Sensory Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MXenes, as two‐dimensional transition metal carbides and nitrides, demonstrate remarkable capabilities for multifunctional sensing applications. This review systematically examines multi‐scale interface engineering approaches that enhance sensing performance, enable diverse detection functionalities, and improve system‐level compatibility in MXene ...

Perspectives hétérodoxes de Russell sur la question des fondements

open access: yesPhilosophia Scientiæ, 2005
Russell’s logicism consists of a thesis stating that all pure mathematics can be expressed in terms of logical constants and variables. It is usually assumed to be a reduction of pure mathematics to logic.

A repetition-free hypersequent calculus for first-order rational Pavelka logic

open access: yes, 2019
We present a hypersequent calculus $\text{G}^3\text{\L}\forall$ for first-order infinite-valued {\L}ukasiewicz logic and for an extension of it, first-order rational Pavelka logic; the calculus is intended for bottom-up proof search. In $\text{G}^3\text{\

Logical Foundations of Services.

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we consider a logical system of networks of processes that interact in an asynchronous manner by exchanging messages through communication channels. This provides a foundational algebraic framework for service-oriented computing that constitutes a primary factor in defining logical specifications of services, the way models of these ...

Thermally Engineered Sodium‐Embedded Alumina with Programmable Synaptic Plasticity for Neuromorphic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fully transparent, all‐metal‐oxide neuromorphic transistor using a sodium‐embedded alumina (SEA) electrolyte is demonstrated. By precisely tuning the thermal annealing process, the chemical composition of the SEA layer is controlled, allowing for the deterministic realization of both short‐term and long‐term synaptic plasticity within the same device

It's Logic in Practice, My Dear Watson: An Imaginary Memoir from Beyond the Grave

open access: yesForum: Qualitative Social Research, 2001
Using the technique of the imaginary memoir, this article seeks to illustrate the logical and semiotic foundations of an empirical inquiry into meaning.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Existence Predicate and Referentiality [PDF]

open access: yesحکمت معاصر, 2015
This essay critically studies one of the important criticisms of the existence predicate, i.e. the referentiality/ non–referentiality proof. Also, it wants to show some of the weaknesses of the following views: (1) existence by no means is a predicate ...

Monadic Second-Order Logic with Arbitrary Monadic Predicates

open access: yes, 2017
We study Monadic Second-Order Logic (MSO) over finite words, extended with (non-uniform arbitrary) monadic predicates. We show that it defines a class of languages that has algebraic, automata-theoretic and machine-independent characterizations.

Multi‐Functional ZnO–Te Heterojunction Devices Enabling Compact Frequency Quadrupler

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale ZnO–Te heterojunction devices featuring tunable double negative differential transconductance (D‐NDT) are demonstrated at ≤ 200°C. Leveraging this unique characteristic, a single‐stage frequency quadrupler is realized, achieving a 64%–75% reduction in device count.
