SPICE Modeling of Memcomputing Logic Gates [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2023
Memcomputing logic gates generalize the traditional Boolean logic gates for operation in the reverse direction. According to the literature, this functionality enables efficient solution of computationally intensive problems, including factorization and ...

Quantum Computer with Mixed States and Four-Valued Logic

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper we discuss a model of quantum computer in which a state is an operator of density matrix and gates are general quantum operations, not necessarily unitary.

Modular logic gates: cascading independent logic gates via metal ion signals [PDF]

open access: yesDalton Trans., 2014
Systematic cascading of molecular logic gates is an important issue to be addressed for advancing research in this field. We have demonstrated that photochemically triggered metal ion signals can be utilized towards that goal. Thus, independent logic gates were shown to work together while keeping their identity in more complex logic designs ...

All-optical reconfigurable non-inverted logic gates with a single semiconductor optical amplifier

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
All-optical reconfigurable non-inverted logic gates with a single semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) is proposed. Compared with the probe light of continuous light, the clock (Clk) pulse sequences light is regarded as the probe light so that the ...

Terahertz Spoof Surface Plasmonic Logic Gates

open access: yesiScience, 2020
Summary: Logic gates are important components in integrated photonic circuitry. Here, a series of logic gates to achieve fundamental logic operations based on linear interference in spoof surface plasmon polariton waveguides are demonstrated at terahertz

Ultra-Fast Physical Generation of Random Numbers Using Hybrid Boolean Networks

open access: yes, 2013
We describe a high-speed physical random number generator based on a hybrid Boolean network with autonomous and clocked logic gates, realized on a reconfigurable chip.

Ultrafast WDM logic [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
Ultrafast all-optical logic gates that accept optical inputs in which wavelength designates bit position within the overall byte are proposed and demonstrated. Four-wave mixing is shown to provide a conditional test function that can be used to construct

Mathematical Estimation of Logical Masking Capability of Majority/Minority Gates Used in Nanoelectronic Circuits

open access: yes, 2017
In nanoelectronic circuit synthesis, the majority gate and the inverter form the basic combinational logic primitives. This paper deduces the mathematical formulae to estimate the logical masking capability of majority gates, which are used extensively ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
