Ultimate-Grounding Under the Condition of Finite Knowledge. A Hegelian Perspective [PDF]
Hegel's Science of Logic makes the just not low claim to be an absolute, ultimate-grounded knowledge. This project, which could not be more ambitious, has no good press in our post-metaphysical age.

ABSTRACT Engineering living matter has great clinical potential to deliver functional replacement organs. However, clinical translation remains hampered by the current inability to maintain viability of clinically relevant‐sized constructs. During the pre‐vascular phase, implants rely on nutrient diffusion for survival, which is insufficient at ...

Quine on Logic, Propositional Attitudes, and the Unity of Knowledge
I shall examine Quine’s conception of logic, of propositional attitudes, and of the unity of knowledge in order to show that there are some tensions in Quine’s system.

Cut free sequent calculus for logic S5n(ED)
Hilbert style, Gentzen style sequent and Kanger style sequent calculi for logic S5n(ED) are considered in this paper. Gentzen style sequent calculus is constructed and its equivalence with Hilbert style system is proved, getting soundness and ...

Tin hexathiophosphate memristors leverage intrinsic nanopores together with a guided filament formation strategy to regulate titanium ion motion and switching behavior. The devices support reliable nonvolatile memory and reconfigurable logic‐in‐memory, demonstrating 14 Boolean logic functions in a single cell.

Refinement Quantified Logics of Knowledge
AbstractRefinement quantifiers were introduced to quantify over all refinements of a model in modal logic, where a refinement is described by a simulation relation. Given the “possible worlds” interpretation of modal logic, a refinement corresponds to an agent ruling out certain possible worlds based on new information.

This study introduces an innovative approach to treating intervertebral disc degeneration using ultrasound‐triggered in situ hydrogel formation. Proof‐of‐concept experiments using optimized biomaterial and ultrasound parameters demonstrate partial restoration of biomechanical function and successful integration into degenerated disc tissue, offering a ...

Physical Intelligence in Small‐Scale Robots and Machines
“Physical intelligence” (PI) empowers biological organisms and artificial machines, especially at the small scales, to perceive, adapt, and even reshape their complex, dynamic, and unstructured operation environments. This review summarizes recent milestones and future directions of PI in small‐scale robots and machines.

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.
