Cytogenetics of Lolium perenne
Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1987A number of diploid inbred lines of Lolium perenne were treated with colchicine at the early seedling stage to induce chromosome doubling. In each inbred line the colchicine-treated undoubled diploids were kept as controls, as well as the normal untreated diploids.

The typification of Lolium perenne L. and Lolium temulentum L. (Poaceae)
Botanical Journal of the Linnean Society, 1992LOOS, B. P. & JARVIS, C. E., 1992. The typification of Lolium perenne and Lolium temulentum (Poaceae). The typification of the Linnaean species Lolium perenne and Lolium temulentum has been studied. Lolium perenne is typified by material in LINN, as proposed by Terrell, but it has been necessary to select a lectotype for L.

Chromosoma, 1976
Cytomixis is a spontaneous process occurring through the formation of cytoplasmic bridges between adjacent pollen mother cells. This phenomenon was observed in the pollen mother cells of 3 genotypes of Lolium perenne which had been subjected to directional selection for productivity of green material.

Stickstoffausnutzungsvermögen von Lolium perenne und Lolium multiflorum‐Sorten
Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science, 1988Abstract Selection for improved nitrogen‐utilization in Lolium In a 3‐year study the responses of 14 Lolium perenne‐varieties and 14 of Lolium multiflorum to different nitrogen fertilization (75, 150, 300 kg N/ha) were investigated. The varieties were classificated into four types of nitrogen utilization. “Low input varieties” can be found in type III.

Anther Culture of Lolium Perenne and Lolium Multiflorum
1990Albino as well as green plantlets were obtained by anther culture of Lolium perenne L. and L.multiflorum L. Isozyme and flow cytometric analyses showed the microspore origin of these plantlets. There is a clear genotype effect on anther culture response and on the ratio of green to albino regenerants. The majority of regenerated plantlets were albinos,

Perennial Ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.)
2006A protocol that facilitates rapid establishment of Agrobacterium-mediated transformation for perennial ryegrass is described. The synthetic green fluorescent protein (sgfpS65T) reporter gene is introduced in combination with the nptII selectable marker gene into axillary bud derived embryogenic calli of perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) by co ...
