Mutant Z α1‐antitrypsin (E342K) accumulates as polymers within the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) of hepatocytes predisposing to liver disease, whereas low levels of circulating Z α1‐antitrypsin lead to emphysema by loss of inhibition of neutrophil elastase.

Annual flows gradually declined from 1902 to 2024 (~3.2%/decade) and the 1952 Tiber Dam and Lake Elwell reservoir were operated to attenuate peak flows and stabilize downstream flows year‐round.

We used automated behavioral response systems (ABRs) to assess invasive wild pig (Sus scrofa) behavioral response to four auditory playbacks: humans, coyote vocalizations (Canis latrans), pigs in distress, and barred owl (Strix varia) calls. Wild pigs had a significant flight response to human playbacks, but 68% of pigs did not flee.
