Human Foetal Neuroblasts Exhibit BK Channel‐Dependent Membrane Voltage Oscillations upon Depolarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Primary cultures of neuroblasts isolated from the nucleus basalis of Meynert of 12‐weeks‐old human foetuses were prepared. Whole‐cell patch‐clamp recordings were performed by injecting a depolarizing stimulus current (+500 pA; 500 ms), and the membrane voltage recorded; this stimulus current evoked periodic‐like oscillations in membrane voltage ...

Effects of Long-Term Sustainable Inorganic Fertilization on Rice Productivity and Fertility of Quaternary Red Soil

open access: yesAgronomy
Soil microbial communities play a critical role in soil fertility and crop productivity. The present study investigated the impact of long-term chemical fertilization on microbial communities, rice productivity, and fertility of Quaternary red soil.

Evaluation of the CENTURY model using long-term fertilization trials under corn-wheat cropping systems in the typical croplands of China.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
Soil organic matter models are widely used to study soil organic carbon (SOC) dynamics. Here, we used the CENTURY model to simulate SOC in wheat-corn cropping systems at three long-term fertilization trials.

Deep‐Learning‐Driven High‐Fidelity In Vivo Hyperspectral Fluorescence Imaging Under Extreme Photon‐Limited Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Highly overlapping fluorescent signals become distinguishable in photon‐limited living organisms via advanced imaging with intelligent reconstruction. The resulting in vivo hyperspectral imaging capability reveals nanoplastic uptake and circulation in live zebrafish, providing a new approach for studying complex biological and environmental processes ...

Single–Atom Iron Sites Enable Enhanced Arsenic Removal From Water Through Synergistic Adsorption–Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single–atom iron anchored on nitrogen–doped porous biochar exhibited ultra–efficient performance, exceptional environmental resilience, and integrated adsorption–oxidation functionality. The multifunctional architecture of the support and the unparalleled reactivity of single–atom iron underpinned the cooperative adsorption and oxidation of As(III ...

Photo‐Gated Corona Microfluidics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photo‐gated corona microfluidics decouples optical programming from electric‐field actuation to enable reconfigurable manipulation on open, electrode‐pattern‐free surfaces. Near‐infrared irradiation locally melts paraffin, creating a reversible charge‐relaxation pathway that reconstructs the electric field.

SDF‐1 Attenuates Oocyte Quality Decline During Reproductive Aging Through Autophagy‐Enhanced Stress Granule Scavenging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SDF‐1 levels decline significantly with maternal aging. Exogenous supplementation restores meiotic spindle morphology, chromosomal alignment, and mitochondrial function while reducing oxidative stress in aged oocytes. Mechanistically, SDF‐1 enhances autophagic activity to clear accumulated stress granules, thereby rescuing fertilization competence and ...
