Blood‐based proteomic profiling reveals context‐dependent changes in BCL2‐associated signaling during taxane therapy in breast cancer patients

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.

Agricultural Trade Policy Issues in the Eighties, Current Research and Long-Term Forecasting [PDF]

open access: yes
Domestic agricultural policy and trade policy are closely linked. Thus, research, including long-term forecasting activities, must take into account the domestic as well as international implications of trade policy issues.

Identifying transcription factors controlling the basal expression of human MRP4 highlights a substantial role for Sp1

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.

Multi-Resolution LSTNet Framework with Wavelet Decomposition and Residual Correction for Long-Term Hourly Load Forecasting on Distribution Feeders

open access: yesEnergies
Distribution-level long-term load forecasting with hourly resolution is essential for modern power systems operation, yet it remains challenging due to complex temporal patterns and error accumulation over extended horizons.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

UiO‐66 metal–organic frameworks in biomedicine: From structural tunability to bioimaging, photodiagnostics, and photodynamic cancer therapy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
UiO‐66(Zr) metal–organic frameworks are chemically stable, biocompatible, and highly tunable nanomaterials. Their modular structure enables controlled drug delivery, multimodal bioimaging, and light‐activated photodynamic therapy, supporting integrated diagnostic and therapeutic (theranostic) applications in cancer and biomedical research.

DETECTING REGIME SWITCHES IN THE EUR/RON EXCHANGE RATE VOLATILITY [PDF]

open access: yes
In the present study we develop and implement a short term exchange rate forecasting methodology using dynamic confidence intervals based on GARCH processes and we analyze whether this methodology can be used to model a regime switch in the volatility ...

Long-term telecommunication forecasting

open access: yes, 2006
The key word for the thesis is long-term demand forecasting which have been applied on telecommunications and especially on broadband accesses and traffic. The objective with the thesis has been to structure and present work on long-term broadband forecasting, to evaluate the forecasting results and to extract the learning.

Prognostic Impact of European LeukemiaNet Genetic Risk Stratification System in Adult Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of ELN2017 in predicting survival outcomes and to assess the impact of clinical and molecular factors such as age, FLT3 and NPM1 mutations, and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo‐HSCT).
