Long-term vehicle motion prediction
2009 IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, 2009Future driver assistance systems will have to cope with complex traffic situations, especially in the road crossing scenario. To detect potentially hazardous situations as early as possible, it is therefore desirable to know the position and motion of the ego-vehicle and vehicles around it for several seconds in advance. For this purpose, we propose in

Long-term prediction of birth weight
Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine, 1993On the basis of the hypothesis that undisturbed individual growth in fetal life keeps a constant proportional difference with the standard population 50th percentile, birth weight can be predicted with a single sonographic exploration after the 16th week of pregnancy. Data on 135 singleton pregnancies with accurate dates and delivery at term were used.

Intraoperative Prediction of Long-Term Remission in Acromegaly
Operative Neurosurgery, 2022BACKGROUND: The features of long-term remission in acromegaly adenomectomy are incompletely understood. An intraoperative predictor for long-term outcome would be valuable for assessing resection of growth hormone (GH)–secreting tumors in real-time.

Predicting long‐term outcome in schizophrenia
Acta Psychiatrica Scandinavica, 1991Prediction of 14‐ to 17‐year outcome from symptoms present at admission and psychosocial and personality data was attempted among the 92 survivors of a group of 110 first‐admitted schizophrenic patients. Three different outcome criteria were used and the correlations between these varied from low to high.

Predicting the long-term outcome of schizophrenia
Psychological Medicine, 1996SynopsisPredictors of long-term (13 year) outcome of schizophrenia are reported for a representative cohort of ‘treated incidence’ patients ascertained on their first contact with Nottingham psychiatric services between 1978–80. An initial (baseline) model including previously reported predictors of 2-year outcome (age, gender, ever married, acuteness ...

LONG TERM PREDICTION OF FOREST RESOURCES
Annual Review in Automatic Programming, 1985Abstract A macromodel is described for men-controlled dynamics of forest stand funds depending in different options of management strategies. In this simulation model a functional connection between the accumulated variable stem volume/ha, annual growth rate of stem volume, and harvesting rate is used to design strategy variants of forest stand funds

2011 IEEE Ninth International Conference on Dependable, Autonomic and Secure Computing, 2011
In the past few decades, large-scale distributed computing systems such as grids have been widely used to serve a growing number of applications in a time-shared manner. In such environment, resources should be strictly assigned to achieve high performance. Hence, resource monitoring and usage prediction are required for the scheduling.

Long-Term Memory Motion-Compensated Prediction
Long-term memory motion-compensated prediction extends the spatial displacement vector utilized in block-based hybrid video coding by a variable time delay permitting the use of more frames than the previously decoded one for motion compensated prediction. The long-term memory covers several seconds of decoded frames at the encoder and decoder. The use

Long Term Prediction of Tidal Currents
IEEE Systems Journal, 2011Numerous techniques have been suggested for extracting energy from the sea. Tidal current turbines are a convenient method for extracting power from oceanic currents. Tidal turbines share many similarities to wind turbines; however due to the higher density of sea water they can produce 800-900 times more power when compared to an equivalent wind ...
