The role of lipid metabolism in neuronal senescence
Disrupted lipid metabolism, through alterations in lipid species or lipid droplet accumulation, can drive neuronal senescence. However, lipid dyshomeostasis can also occur alongside neuronal senescence, further amplifying tissue damage. Delineating how lipid‐induced senescence emerges in neurons and glial cells, and how it contributes to ageing and ...

Bayesian Inference on the Memory Parameter for Gamma-Modulated Regression Models
In this work, we propose a Bayesian methodology to make inferences for the memory parameter and other characteristics under non-standard assumptions for a class of stochastic processes.

Time series aggregation, disaggregation and long memory [PDF]
We study the aggregation/disaggregation problem of random parameter AR(1) processes and its relation to the long memory phenomenon. We give a characterization of a subclass of aggregated processes which can be obtained from simpler, "elementary", cases ...

The Aging Blood: Cellular Origins, Circulating Drivers, and Therapeutic Potential
As a conduit linking all organs, the blood system both reflects and actively drives systemic aging. This review highlights how circulating pro‐aging and antiaging factors and age‐associated hematopoietic stem cell dysfunction contribute to immunosenescence and multi‐organ decline, positioning the hematopoietic system as a target for aging intervention.

DiBELLA: Distributed long read to long read alignment [PDF]
We present a parallel algorithm and scalable implementation for genome analysis, specifically the problem of finding overlaps and alignments for data from "third generation" long read sequencers [29]. While long sequences of DNA offer enormous advantages

Attention-Based Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory Networks for Relation Classification
Relation classification is an important semantic processing task in the field of natural language processing (NLP). State-ofthe-art systems still rely on lexical resources such as WordNet or NLP systems like dependency parser and named entity recognizers

Modified R/S and DFA Analyses of Foreign Exchange Market Efficiency under Two Exchange Rate Regimes: A Case Study of Iran [PDF]
Based on efficient market hypothesis, financial markets are impossible to forecast. The purpose of this paper is to examine the weak-form efficiency of the Iranian foreign exchange rate (defined by the Rial/Dollar) during time period 1999:25:01 to 2010 ...

Variance-type estimation of long memory [PDF]
The aggregation procedure when a sample of length N is divided into blocks of length m = o(N), m ® ¥ and observations in each block are replaced by their sample mean, is widely used in statistical inference.
