Multiscale Perspectives on Perovskite Instability: From Atomistic Deformation to Device Degradation in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Multiscale perspectives on how excess charges in soft lead halide perovskites induce operational instability in photovoltaic devices are presented. Localized carriers formed under thermodynamic non‐equilibrium states modify atomistic interactions and drive lattice distortions, accelerating device degradation.

Long-term performance of glass fiber Vacuum Insulation Panels exposed to severe operating conditions in buildings

open access: yes
Vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) provide an effective solution for retrofitting building envelopes, particularly when space for conventional insulation is limited. However, certain conditions can accelerate the ageing of VIPs.

Hidden in the Labour Market: An Intersectional Latent Class Analysis of Discouraged Workers in Australia

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Social Issues, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study employs an intersectionality‐informed latent class analysis (LCA) to examine the hidden diversity of discouraged workers in Australia. Drawing on nationally representative data from the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia Survey, we identified six empirically distinct subgroups defined by intersecting demographic and ...

Hippocampal Seizure‐Related Burden is Associated with Accelerated Long‐Term Forgetting in Focal Epilepsy

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, EarlyView.
Objective Memory impairment is a frequent comorbidity of focal epilepsy, incompletely explained by seizure frequency or structural pathology. Ictal and postictal hippocampal dysfunction disrupt memory processes, but their cumulative impact remains poorly quantified.

EFFECT OF HEATING ON SHEAR STRENGTH IN WASTE PLASTIC LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE BY USING A NEW TEST SPECIMEN

open access: yesDiyala Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2015
The re-use of plastic waste as an alternative to partial volume of sand in the concrete rids Iraq of harmful waste plastic piles as well as reduces demand for natural sand and dependence on remote sand quarries. Moreover, encourages lightweight concrete

Apparent Mobility and its Relationship with Ageing in Polymeric Insulation Materials (invited talk)

open access: yes, 2008
Apparent mobility obtained from space charge decay measurement has been recently used as an ageing marker to assess degradation of the insulation materials. The apparent mobility of charge carriers becomes slower after experiencing electrical ageing.

Pure Inverse Spin Hall Effect in Ferromagnetic Ni80Fe20/Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) Heterostructures via the Longitudinal Spin Seebeck Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
A pure inverse spin Hall effect (ISHE) is demonstrated in ferromagnetic Ni₈₀Fe2₀/YIG heterostructures via the longitudinal spin Seebeck effect. By employing symmetry‐controlled geometries and reference samples, anomalous Nernst contributions are quantitatively eliminated, revealing intrinsic spin–charge conversion in Ni₈₀Fe2₀.
