According to wave data recorded by a two pressure sensors array during the months of April, August and October of 1985 at the spit of the estero de Punta Banda, B.C., the net longshore sediment transport was calculated. Results show a study area that

Lateral sediment sources and knickzones as controls on spatio-temporal variations of sediment transport in an Alpine river [PDF]
Modern mixed alluvial-bedrock channels in mountainous areas provide natural laboratories for understanding the time scales at which coarse-grained material has been entrained and transported from their sources to the adjacent sedimentary sink, where ...

Dune Volume Changes at Decadal Timescales and Its Relation with Potential Aeolian Transport
Long-term changes in dune volume at the Belgian coast are analyzed based on measured data by airborne surveys available from 1979. For most of the 65 km long coastal stretch, dune volume increases linearly in time at a constant rate.

NUMERICAL MODELLING OF THE MORPHODYNAMICS OF THE PLOČE GRAVEL BEACH IN RIJEKA
The morphodynamics of an artificial gravel beach in the Bay of Rijeka (Ploče Beach) was analyzed. The morphological changes of the beach face were monitored through an intense situation of gravitational surface wind waves from the incident SSW direction.

LONGSHORE TRANSPORT OF SUSPENDED SEDIMENT
In excess of 800 suspended sediment samples were collected from stations along the City Pier, Ventnor, New Jersey and Jennettes Pier, Nags Head, North Carolina using a tractor-mounted pump sampler. Most samples were collected within the surf zone at the Ventnor site.

Sand transport in northern Venice Lagoon through the tidal inlet of Lido [PDF]
The provenance and transport of sand has been investigated around Lido Inlet, the largest ofthree tidal inlets in Venice Lagoon, Italy. Morphological analysis has established the presenceof an ebb-tidal delta extending from the mouth of Lido Inlet as ...

Modelling of Sediment Transport in Beris Fishery Port [PDF]
In this paper, the large amount of sedimentation and the resultant shoreline advancements at the breakwaters of Beris Fishery Port are studied. A series of numerical modeling of waves, sediment transport, and shoreline changes were conducted to predict ...

Longshore transport of fine-grained sediment
Abstract An approximate formula is derived for the longshore transport of fine-grained sediment due to waves. This formula yields the cross-shore distribution of the unit discharge of suspended sediment mass as a function of wave and sediment properties, and bottom slope.
