Joint polynomial and look-up-table predistortion power amplifier linearization

open access: yes, 2012
[[abstract]]Digital predistortion at baseband is an efficient and low-cost method for the linearization of a power amplifier (PA) in a wireless system employing a nonconstant-envelop modulation scheme, so as to reduce the adjacent channel interference ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Automatic Look-Up Table Based Real-Time Phase Unwrapping for Phase Measuring Profilometry and Optimal Reference Frequency Selection

open access: yes, 2019
For temporal phase unwrapping in phase measuring profilometry, it has recently been reported that two phases with co-prime frequencies can be absolutely unwrapped using a look-up table; however, frequency selection and table construction has been ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Deducing Aerodynamic Roughness Length From Abundant Anemometer Tower Data to Inform Wind Resource Modeling

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
Aerodynamic roughness length (z0) fundamentally affects land surface momentum loss and wind resource simulation, but ground truth data of z0 are sparse in space, causing z0 datasets used in atmospheric models are empirically estimated from land cover ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Optimizing FPGA Resource Allocation for SHA-3 Using DSP48 and Pipelining Techniques

open access: yesInternational Islamic University Malaysia Engineering Journal
Deploying SHA-3 on FPGA devices requires significant resource allocation; however, the resulting throughput still needs improvement. This study employs the DSP48 module on the Xilinx FPGA to address this issue and implements an eight-stage pipeline ...

Algorithm for Parallel Inverse Halftoning using Partitioning of Look-Up Table (LUT) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The Look-Up Table (LUT) method for inverse halftoning is fast and computation-free technique employed to obtain good quality images. In this work we propose a new algorithm to parallelize the LUT method so that more pixels can be concurrently inverse ...

Comparison of look-up table minimization methods for real-time power amplifier simulation

open access: yes, 2006
Look-up table (LUT) is one of the most popular methods for simulating the nonlinear characteristics of radio frequency (RF) power amplifiers. In this paper two practical methods for minimizing the LUT size are assessed for fast and flexible simulations ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
