Fibered incidence loops and kinematic loops

Abstract A loop-the-loop experiment is described to show how sliding friction affects motion of the ball. Conservation of energy can be used to explain the basic physics, but significant energy loss is observed in practice and expands the usefulness of this apparatus as a teaching tool.

The author studies Moufang loops, G, with nucleus, N, in which G/N is commutative with prime exponent p. The author calls such loops pE loops. All Moufang loops of order 16 and 81 are pE loops as are Moufang loops of order \(p^ 5\) where p is a prime number \(\geq 5\).

A natural follow-on to the loops which have been used so far is to put a loop inside another loop. This type of construction is known as a nested loop. The terms outer loop and inner loop are then used to describe the loop forming the outside of the nest and the loop which is on the inside of the nest.

Overlooking the role of parental guilt in recurrent parent-child conflict may limit effective interventions in family therapy. This paper presents a conceptual model of the role of parental guilt in the maintenance of recurrent dysfunctional sequences of parent-child conflict.
