Effective actions for loop quantum cosmology in fourth-order gravity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2021
Loop quantum cosmology (LQC) is a theory which renders the Big Bang initial singularity into a quantum bounce, by means of short-range repulsive quantum effects at the Planck scale.

Recent Developments in Degenerate Higher Order Scalar Tensor Theories

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 537, Issue 2, February 2025.
Degenerate Higher Order Scalar Tensor theories are reviewed, together with their applications in cosmology and astrophysics. These theories have been applied to build models of the early universe, in the description of the late‐time cosmic acceleration, as well as in astrophysics, including black hole physics. They have the potential to provide answers

Notes on Characterizations of 2d Rational SCFTs: Algebraicity, Mirror Symmetry, and Complex Multiplication

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, Volume 73, Issue 1-2, February 2025.
Abstract S. Gukov and C. Vafa proposed a characterization of rational N=(1,1)$N=(1,1)$ superconformal field theories (SCFTs) in 1+1$1+1$ dimensions with Ricci‐flat Kähler target spaces in terms of the Hodge structure of the target space, extending an earlier observation by G. Moore.

Hybrid loop quantum cosmology and predictions for the cosmic microwave background [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We investigate the consequences of the hybrid quantization approach for primordial perturbations in loop quantum cosmology, obtaining predictions for the cosmic microwave background and comparing them with data collected by the Planck mission.

Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in Sustainable Entrepreneurship

open access: yesJournal of Economic Surveys, Volume 39, Issue 1, Page 103-145, February 2025.
Abstract There is an urgent need to transition our economy, society, and culture towards systems and actions that facilitate ecological sustainability. Such radical change requires equally radical transformation of approaches to decision making and resource use.

Backreaction of fermionic perturbations in the Hamiltonian of hybrid loop quantum cosmology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We discuss the freedom available in hybrid loop quantum cosmology to define canonical variables for the matter content and investigate whether this can be used to derive a quantum field theory with good properties for the matter sector.

Sense‐making, sensemaking and sense making—A systematic review and meta‐synthesis of literature in information science and education: An Annual Review of Information Science and Technology (ARIST) paper

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, Volume 76, Issue 1, Page 3-97, January 2025.
Abstract Sense‐making, sensemaking, and sense making are terms used in different disciplines. Similarities of usage seem unclear. (1) to examine the concepts used in different approaches to sense‐making/sensemaking/sense making; (2) to identify, classify and synthesize recent studies relevant to information science, as well as similar group on ...

Interplay Between MW, ΩCDMh2, and (g − 2)μ in Flavor Symmetry–Based Supersymmetric Models

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
We study the phenomenological implications of the minimal supersymmetric standard model (MSSM) augmented by a nonabelian flavor symmetry labeled as sMSSM. Incorporating this flavor symmetry allows for a significant reduction in the original plethora of free parameters present in the MSSM, ultimately reducing them down to just seven in sMSSM.

The picture of the Bianchi I model via gauge fixing in Loop Quantum Gravity

open access: yes, 2012
The implications of the SU(2) gauge fixing associated with the choice of invariant triads in Loop Quantum Cosmology are discussed for a Bianchi I model.
