Characterization of Bubbles and Antibubbles Interfaces Stabilized Using Pickering Particles With Different Wetting Properties

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Lipid Science and Technology, EarlyView.
GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT Preparation of W/O/W double emulsions using hydrophobic silica (R972) and maltodextrin. A primary W/O emulsion is formed via homogenization and ultrasound and then re‐emulsified in an outer aqueous phase. The final emulsion is freeze‐dried for 1 day to obtain structured antibubbles.

Comparative Analysis of Graded‐Index and Quarter‐Wave One‐Dimensional Photonic Crystal Filters for GaSb Thermophotovoltaic Cells

open access: yesEnergy Technology, EarlyView.
The efficiency and output power of thermophotovoltaic systems can be improved by using one‐dimensional photonic crystal optical filters with graded index profiles. Using a filter with a graded index profile increases the system efficiency from 15.8 to 27%.

Dynamics of Bio‐Convection Two‐Phase Nanofluid Flow in an Entropy‐Optimized Non‐Newtonian Model With Nonlinear Thermal Radiation and Electromagnetic Effects

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The study of nanofluids has attracted significant attention due to their superior thermophysical properties, making them ideal for thermal transport in engineering and biomedical applications. Motivated by these capabilities, this study develops a novel three‐dimensional mathematical model for electrically conducting Sutterby nanofluids ...

Entropy Generation and Heat Transfer in a Circular Cavity With Immiscible Fluids: Effects of Active Cylinder Position and Oscillating Magnetic Field

open access: yesHeat Transfer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates entropy generation and heat transfer in a circular cavity containing immiscible air and TiO2–water nanofluid layers with a centrally positioned active cylinder under oscillating magnetic field influence. The governing equations were solved using the Galerkin weighted residual finite element method with a penalty ...
