A Novel Pixel Merging-Based Lossless Recovery Algorithm for Basic Matrix VSS

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics, 2017
Lossless recovery in visual secret share (VSS) is very meaningful. In this paper, a novel lossless recovery algorithm for the basic matrix VSS is proposed. The secret image is reconstructed losslessly by using simple exclusive XOR operation and merging pixel.

Tamper Detection and Recovery for Medical Images Using Near-lossless Information Hiding Technique [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Digital Imaging, 2007
Digital medical images are very easy to be modified for illegal purposes. For example, microcalcification in mammography is an important diagnostic clue, and it can be wiped off intentionally for insurance purposes or added intentionally into a normal mammography.

Weighted Polynomial-Based Secret Image Sharing Scheme with Lossless Recovery [PDF]

open access: yesSecurity and Communication Networks, 2021
In some particular scenes, the shadows need to be given different weights to represent the participants’ status or importance. And during the reconstruction, participants with different weights obtain various quality reconstructed images. However, the existing schemes based on visual secret sharing (VSS) and the Chinese remainder theorem (CRT) have ...

Multi Secret Image Sharing Scheme of General Access Structure with Meaningful Shares

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
A Multi Secret Image sharing scheme can share several secret images among certain participators securely. Boolean-based secret sharing schemes are one kind of secret sharing method with light-weighted computation compared to the previous complex ...

Secret Image Sharing with Dealer-Participatory and Non-Dealer-Participatory Mutual Shadow Authentication Capabilities

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
A ( k , n ) threshold secret image sharing (SIS) method is proposed to divide a secret image into n shadows. The beauty of this scheme is that one can only reconstruct a secret image with k or more than k shadows, but one cannot obtain any ...

A Secret Image Sharing Based on Logistic-Chebyshev Chaotic Map and Chinese Remainder Theorem [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2023
Visual secret sharing (VSS) was introduced in order to solve information security issues. It is a modern cryptographic technique. It involves breaking up a secret image into $n$ secured components known as shares.
