Practical considerations for pathologists when selecting digital pathology systems: an ESDIP guide

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, EarlyView.
Abstract The implementation of digital pathology (DP) has been reported across academic, public, and private laboratory settings, providing valuable insights into workflow transformation. However, comparatively little guidance exists on how DP systems should be evaluated prior to acquisition and deployment.

DrLS: Distortion‐Resistant Lossless Steganography via Colour Depth Interpolation

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The lossless data steganography is to hide a certain amount of information into a container image. Previous lossless steganography methods fail to strike a balance between capacity, imperceptibility, accuracy, and robustness, commonly vulnerable to distortion on container images.

Novel Integer Hahn Transform for Real-Time Lossless Image Authentication in IoT: A 32-Bit Microcontroller Implementation

open access: yesIEEE Access
Traditional discrete orthogonal transforms often introduce reconstruction errors, hindering their use in digital signal processing applications requiring exact signal recovery.

A Novel Pixel Merging-Based Lossless Recovery Algorithm for Basic Matrix VSS

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Crime and Forensics, 2017
Lossless recovery in visual secret share (VSS) is very meaningful. In this paper, a novel lossless recovery algorithm for the basic matrix VSS is proposed. The secret image is reconstructed losslessly by using simple exclusive XOR operation and merging pixel.

A Quantised Push‐Sum Distributed Adaptive Momentum Algorithm for Optimisation Over Directed Networks

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate a distributed constrained optimisation problem over directed networks. The agents in the networks conduct local computations and communications, endeavouring to collaboratively minimise the aggregation of all locally known convex cost functions subject to a global constraint set.

Continuous-Variable Arbitrated Quantum Signature Based on Dense Coding and Teleportation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Motivated by the dense coding and teleportation of two-mode squeezed vacuum (TMSV) state, a continuous-variable arbitrated quantum signature (CV-AQS) scheme is proposed.

Splatshop: Efficiently Editing Large Gaussian Splat Models

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We present Splatshop, a highly optimized toolbox for interactive editing (selection, deletion, painting, transformation, …) of 3D Gaussian Splatting models. Utilizing a comprehensive collection of heuristic approaches, we carefully balance between exact and fast rendering to enable precise editing without sacrificing real‐time performance. Our

Encoding Occupancy in Memory Location for Efficient and Compact High‐Resolution Voxel Structures

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We encode information about geometric structure into the pointers of a sparse voxel directed acyclic graph (SVDAG). Each pointer carries information about the structure of the node it points to. Our encoding improves ray tracing performance and reduces model size in memory.

Variable‐Rate Texture Compression: Real‐Time Rendering with JPEG

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract Although variable‐rate compressed image formats such as JPEG are widely used to efficiently encode images, they have not found their way into real‐time rendering due to special requirements such as random access to individual texels. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of variable‐rate texture compression on modern GPUs using the ...
