Progressive Secret Sharing with Adaptive Priority and Perfect Reconstruction

open access: yesJournal of Imaging, 2021
A new technique for progressive visual secret sharing (PVSS) with adaptive priority weight is proposed in this paper. This approach employs the bitwise and eXclusive-OR (XOR) based approaches for generating a set of shared images from a single secret ...

Almost Lossless Analog Compression without Phase Information

open access: yes, 2015
We propose an information-theoretic framework for phase retrieval. Specifically, we consider the problem of recovering an unknown n-dimensional vector x up to an overall sign factor from m=Rn phaseless measurements with compression rate R and derive a ...

Physical Origin of Temperature Induced Activation Energy Switching in Electrically Conductive Cement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The temperature‐induced Arrhenius activation energy switching phenomenon of electrical conduction in electrically conductive cement originates from structural degradation within the biphasic ionic‐electronic conduction architecture and shows percolation‐governed characteristics: pore network opening dominates the low‐percolation regime with downward ...

Suitability of Electrical Coupling in Solar Cell Thermoelectric Hybridization

open access: yesDesigns, 2018
It is well known that the major constraints to the efficiency of photovoltaic devices come from the generation of heat. In this context, thermoelectric generators have been proposed as a viable heat recovery solution, leading to an increase of the ...

Photonic Time Crystals and Time‐Varying Electromagnetic Metamatter: A New Direction for Ultrafast Tunable Photonic and Microwave Materials and Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photonic time crystals (PTCs) are systems in which electromagnetic parameters are modulated periodically in time, producing momentum bandgaps via temporal scattering rather than spatial Bragg processes. This review examines the theoretical frameworks, modeling, and computational tools for time‐varying media, and summarizes experimental demonstrations ...

Reversible extended secret image sharing with ability to correct errors based on Chinese remainder theorem

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
The reversible extended secret image sharing (RESIS) scheme can safely segment the secret image into a shadow image and embed it into the cover image, while ensuring that both the secret image and the cover image are completely restored.

A High‐Performance and Fully Recyclable Supramolecular Nanofibrous Membrane for Multifunctional Air Filtration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A green, thermoreversible self‐assembly strategy yields a multifunctional and recyclable supramolecular nanofibrous membrane. Graphene oxide (GO) nanosheet acts as a heterogeneous nucleation‐templating agent, simultaneously modulating the supramolecular crystal packing while tailoring the nanofibrous architecture for elite performance.
