Sensitivity Enhancement of Aluminium Doped Zinc Oxide (AZO) Coated Lossy Mode Resonance (LMR) Fiber Optic Sensors Using Additional Layer of Oxides

Frontiers in Optics 2014, 2014
Theoretical results for an AZO coated LMR fiber optic sensor with enhanced sensitivity using additional oxide layer overlay are presented for two oxides, viz. TiO2 and Cu2O. The maximum sensitivity was achieved for AZO/TiO2 combination.

Lossy mode resonance based single mode fiber structure for detection of ascorbic acid

BiOS, 2023
This article presents a lossy mode resonance (LMR) phenomenon based single mode fiber (SMF) structure for the detection of ascorbic acid (vitamin C). The fiber was etched for specified duration and then analyzed for Ascorbic acid detection. Ascorbic acid

Highly Sensitive Optical Fiber Humidity Sensor Based on Polyvinyl-Alcohol Film-Induced Lossy Mode Resonance

IEEE Sensors Journal
A highly sensitive optical fiber relative humidity (RH) sensor based on lossy mode resonance (LMR) is proposed and demonstrated. The sensor consists of a no-core fiber (NCF) covered by a layer of transparent polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with refractive index ...
