Exploring Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Interventions for Schools: A Scoping Review

open access: yesPsychology in the Schools, Volume 63, Issue 7, Page 1173-1198, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Among teenagers and young adults, suicide represents a significant public health challenge. Schools are critical for suicide prevention due to the significant time adolescents spend there. Gatekeeper training (GKT) has shown promise in increasing awareness and knowledge, but its implementation‑relevant characteristics and contextual

Effects of lotus root (the edible rhizome of Nelumbo nucifera) on the deveolopment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in obese diabetic db/db mice

open access: yes
Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is emerging as the most common liver disease in industrialized countries. The discovery of food components that would ameliorate NAFLD is therefore of interest. Lotus root, the edible rhizome of Nelumbo nucifera,

Genome‐wide analysis of DNA methyltransferases in a model extremophyte, Schrenkiella parvula: Transcriptional dynamics during development and under salt stress

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, Volume 189, Issue 1, July 2026.
Classification of DMTs into 4 subfamilies: two METs, three CMTs, three DRMs, and one DNMT2. The cis‐elements are associated with stress‐response, hormonal regulation, light‐response, and development. RNA‐seq analysis revealed differential expression of DMTs under NaCl stress.

Podocyte mPGES‐2 Determines Renal Aging and Contributes to Senile Osteoporosis

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 7, July 2026.
Podocyte mPGES‐2 drives renal aging through PGE2/EP1‐dependent senescence and disrupts renal endocrine support for bone homeostasis. Genetic deletion or pharmacological inhibition of mPGES‐2 protects aged mice from kidney dysfunction and osteoporosis. ABSTRACT Renal aging shortens healthspan and propagates organ dysfunction beyond the kidney, yet its ...
