A Practical Approach to Mitigate Low-Frequency Oscillation in Railway Electrification Systems
IEEE transactions on power electronics, 2018The low-frequency oscillation (LFO) phenomenon has frequently happened in the railway electrification systems (RES), which often caused the traction atresia of electric trains and protection malfunction of traction network.

Improved Adaptive Inertia Control of VSG for Low Frequency Oscillation Suppression
IEEE Power Engineering and Automation Conference, 2018To deal with the low frequency oscillation (LFO) of microgrid caused by power fluctuation and grid faults, virtual synchronous generator (VSG) as an effective solution has been intensively researched.

Since the early 1970s and the early 1980s, the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) in the tropics and some teleconnections in worldwide have respectively become two important topics in climate study. The former is moving low-frequency fluctuations while the latter is standing oscillations.

Low frequency temperature forcing of chemical oscillations
Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2011The low frequency forcing of chemical oscillations by temperature is investigated experimentally in the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction and in simulations of the Oregonator model with Arrhenius temperature dependence of the rate constants. Forcing with temperature leads to modulation of the chemical frequency.

Amplitude Stabilized Low Frequency Oscillator
IETE Journal of Research, 1957AbstractThe performance of a low frequency oscillator, stabilized with biased diodes or with lamps is described. The harmonic content in the output with different initial negative damping has been calculated and depicted in graphical form. Variation of the output amplitude with the variation of initial damping is also calculated.A circuit arrangement ...

Weak low-frequency electromagnetic oscillations in water
Electromagnetic Biology and Medicine, 2016Recent observations of low-frequency electromagnetic oscillations in water suggest an inductive structural component. Accordingly, we assume a helical basis enabling us to model water as an LC tuned oscillator. A proposed tetrahedral structure consisting of three water molecules and one hydronium ion is incorporated into the Boerdijk-Coxeter tetrahelix

Low-Frequency Brain Oscillations in Schizophrenia
JAMA Psychiatry, 2016Understanding thebrainnetworks thatproduce thesymptomsof schizophrenia is a major goal of modern neuroscience. There is increasing evidence that brain function depends critically on oscillations, and ithas thereforebeenof interest todeterminewhether the oscillatorypropertiesof thebrain areabnormal in schizophrenicpatients.

A compact, low‐frequency, memristor‐based oscillator
International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2014SummaryA relaxation oscillator using a memristor is hereby presented. The memristor is used to substitute the function of a capacitor in an equivalent RC oscillator. The voltage across the memristor changes according to the quantity and polarity of the current passing through, thus substituting the changing voltage across a capacitor in the equivalent ...

Low frequency oscillations in oscillators using Gunn diodes
International Journal of Electronics, 1973Abstract Experiments are reported which indicate that simultaneous oscillations at two frequencies may be generated in a Gunn diode oscillator. The lower frequency is within the range 1·8-0·44GHZ, while the higher frequency lies between 1·8 and 3·75 GHz, the transit-time frequency being l·8GHz.

Very low frequency quadrature oscillator
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2000We propose a low-cost, practical, quadrature oscillator with a period, Tq, which may be very long (Tq⩾1 s). We illustrate this design with an oscillator that produces two quadrature sinusoidal waves with a 1 s period. This design can be modified to provide signals of any shape by adjusting the value of one or more resistors.
