Low-Light Image Enhancement Using Volume-Based Subspace Analysis
Low-light image enhancement is a key technique to overcome the quality degradation of photos taken under challenging illumination conditions. Even though the significant progress has been made for enhancing the poor visibility, the intrinsic noise ...

Low-Light Image Enhancement Based on Multi-Path Interaction
Due to the non-uniform illumination conditions, images captured by sensors often suffer from uneven brightness, low contrast and noise. In order to improve the quality of the image, in this paper, a multi-path interaction network is proposed to enhance ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Low-Light Image Enhancement Using a Simple Network Structure
Under low-light conditions, captured images can be affected by unsatisfactory lighting conditions. Low-light image enhancement called LLIE is a digital image processing to obtain natural normal-light images from the low-light image.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Edge and Color Information Guided High-resolution Low-light Image Enhancement Algorithm [PDF]
The ability of the device to capture high-resolution images poses a new challenge to image processing, and most of the existing low-light image enhancement algorithms are designed for low-resolution images, and there are problems such as unclear details ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.
