Ecofriendly Sunlight‐Mediated Nontoxic Bimetallic Nanoparticles: Synthesis, Reusable Catalytic Membrane, and Biosensor Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel sunlight‐driven synthesis produces Ag–Cu bimetallic nanoparticles (NPs) in just 10 min using nontoxic surfactants. These high‐quality NPs show excellent catalytic activity, functioning as reusable polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and activated carbon fiber (ACF) supported catalysts for efficient conversion of p‐nitrophenol to p‐aminophenol, and ...

Superlattice Engineering on 2D Bi2Te3‐Sb2Te3 Chalcogenides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an innovative approach to fabricating 2D Bi2Te3‐Sb2Te3 chalcogenide superlattices in wrapped, lateral, and vertical configurations. Utilizing a novel precursor switching method, chemical vapor deposition, and post‐growth techniques, the research achieves controlled superlattices with sharp interfaces.

Spectral Comparisons of Neutron Star Low-Mass X-Ray Binaries with Black Hole X-Ray Binaries

open access: yes, 2013
The study of high-resolution X-ray spectra of neutron star low-mass X-ray binaries (LMXBs) allows the investigation of the innermost parts of the accretion disk and immediate surroundings of the compact object. The weak magnetic eld of old neutron stars present in such systems allows the accretion disk to approach very close to the compact object, like

Low Band Gap Furan‐Flanked Diketopyrrolopyrrole‐Naphthobisthiadiazole Based Conjugated Polymer/Stretchable Blend for Organic Field Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A low‐band gap n‐type conjugated polymer (DPPF‐NTz) is designed, synthesized, and incorporated into n‐type OFETs as a semiconducting material. Interestingly, blending DPPF‐NTz with an elastomeric polymer, polystyrene‐block‐poly(ethylene‐ran‐butylene)‐block‐polystyrene (SEBS) not only yielded a stretchable organic semiconducting material with improved ...

Moisture Harvesting by the Structure Regulation of Hygroscopic Hydrogel for Energy and Water Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Hygroscopic hydrogels are capable of utilizing the moisture from air, which can transfer the gaseous water to liquid by a surface phase transition. Taking advantage of this water, sustainable water production, thermal management, and electricity generation can be realized.
