A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Local employment through the low-pressure solar water heater roll-out in South Africa
In February 2013, the United Nations Secretary-General’s High-Level Panel of Eminent Persons on the post-2015 development agenda failed to identify climate change as a priority issue (United Nations 2013). The defined framing questions for the panel’s work and the most recent announcement highlight sustainable growth with equity, wealth through ...

A ANALISA KINERJA LOW PRESSURE HEATER (LPH) BERBASIS STANDAR ASME PTC DI PLTU UP GRESIK
Steam Power Plants (PLTU) have an important role in providing reliable electrical energy for the community and industrial sector. One of the components that affect the thermal efficiency of the generating system is the Low Pressure Heater (LPH), which functions to heat feed water using heat from turbine extraction steam. This study was conducted at LPH

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.
