A graphene oxide/collagen scaffold is developed for chronic massive rotator cuff tear repair. The scaffold improves compressive stability, supports reparative mesenchymal differentiation, and modulates the immune microenvironment. In chronic MRCT models, it reduces muscle degeneration, enhances tendon–bone regeneration, and improves functional recovery,

We proposed a method based on the piezoelectric effect and fabricated an implant abutment on the basis of piezoelectric ceramic. Under physiological occlusal pressure, the oral motion‐powered smart dental implant abutments interacted with water and oxygen, promoting the formation of reactive oxygen species and achieving a synergistic and highly ...

Polymorphic Superparaelectric Engineering Boosting Energy Storage Capacity in BaTiO3‐Based Ceramics
Herein, Ca2+ incorporation promotes the coexistence of CaTiO3‐/BaTiO3‐derived paraferroelectric states, stabilizing cubic‐orthorhombic‐tetragonal polymorphic superparaelectric phases. This minimizes polarization energy barriers, facilitating full polarization saturation without compromising efficiency.

Smart Nanotechnologies for Multimodal Neuromodulation and Brain Interfacing
Recent advances in smart nanotechnologies are expanding the toolbox for brain interfacing, from wireless neuromodulation and high‐resolution sensing to targeted delivery within the central nervous system. By combining responsive nanomaterials with bioinspired design, these platforms enable multimodal interactions with neurons and glia, while also ...

We investigate whether Montessori and traditional schooling systems shape the developmental trajectory of large‐scale brain dynamics in different ways. We quantify the arrow of time (“non‐reversibility”) in neural activity during resting state and movie‐watching, revealing distinct maturational patterns.

Ferroelectric Devices for In‐Memory and In‐Sensor Computing
Inspired by biological systems, in‐memory and in‐sensor computing overcome von Neumann bottlenecks. Ferroelectric devices can mimic synaptic functions and sense stimuli like light or force, therefore are ideal for these paradigms. This review introduces the ferroelectric devices applied for in‐memory and in‐sensor computing, covering their structures ...

Abstract It is well-known that the empirical Manson–Coffin law tends to over-predict the cyclic life under extremely low cycle fatigue condition. In the present paper, a new unified expression is proposed to overcome this shortcoming. By introducing an exponential function, this new expression is capable of capturing the cyclic life over the entire ...

Low cycle fatigue of superalloys
Materials Testing, 2004Abstract Low cycle fatigue (LCF) of a fourth-generation single-crystal (SC) Ni-base superalloy TMS-138 was studied by comparison with typical third-generation (TMS-75) and second-generation (CMSX-4) Ni-base SC superalloys. TMS-138 exhibits improved LCF behaviour under a condition of the R ratio of 0 at temperatures of 1073 K and 1173 K ...

Conventional Fatigue (High- and Low-Cycle Fatigue)
1997It is known that when metals are subjected to fluctuating load, the failure occurs at a stress level much lower than the fracture stress corresponding to a monotonic tension load.1 With the development of the railway in the nineteenth century, the fatigue failure of railway axles became a problem and much attention was given to the understanding of the
