Reversible Graphene decoupling by NaCl photo-dissociation
We describe the reversible intercalation of Na under graphene on Ir(111) by photo-dissociation of a previously adsorbed NaCl overlayer. After room temperature evaporation, NaCl adsorbs on top of graphene forming a bilayer.

Simulation of Smith-Purcell terahertz radiation using a particle-in-cell code
A simulation of the generation of Smith-Purcell (SP) radiation at terahertz frequencies has been performed using the two-dimensional particle-in-cell code MAGIC. The simulation supposes that a thin (but infinitely wide) monoenergetic electron beam passes

Real-space study of the growth of magnesium on ruthenium
The growth of magnesium on ruthenium has been studied by low-energy electron microscopy (LEEM) and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). In LEEM, a layer-by-layer growth is observed except in the first monolayer, where the completion of the first layer in

Multiferroic heterostructures for spin filter application - an ab initio study
Novel imaging spin-filter techniques, which are based on low energy electron diffraction, are currently of high scientific interest. To improve the spin-detection efficiency a variety of new materials have been introduced in recent years.

Effect of water cooling assistance on fatigue behavior of laser welded QP980 steel
Quenching and partitioning 980 (QP980) steel has been applied to new energy vehicles, but even laser welding joints show poor fatigue performance. In this study, water-cooling assistance is applied to improve fatigue resistance of welded joints. Hardness,
