Low-cost low-field NMR and MRI: Instrumentation and applications. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Magn Reson, 2020
While NMR and MRI are often thought of as expensive techniques requiring large institutional investment, opportunities for low-cost, low-field NMR and MRI abound. We discuss a number of approaches to performing magnetic resonance experiments with inexpensive, easy to find or build components, aimed at applications in industry, education, and research ...

Low-Cost Purpose-Built Ultra-Low-Field NMR Spectrometer. [PDF]

open access: yesAnal Chem
Low-field NMR has emerged as a new analytical technique for the investigation of molecular structure and dynamics. Here, we introduce a highly integrated ultralow-frequency NMR spectrometer designed for the purpose of ultralow-field NMR polarimetry of hyperpolarized contrast media. The device measures 10 cm × 10 cm × 2.0 cm and weighs only 370 g.

Scleroglucan and guar gum: The synergistic effects of a new polysaccharide system

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2022
Scleroglucan (Sclg) and Guar Gum (GG) are both capable to give gels in the presence of borax and this study is focused on how a mixed system of the two polysaccharides can be affected by the addition of borax. The anisotropic swelling behavior of tablets

Measurement of Untruncated Nuclear Spin Interactions via Zero- to Ultra-Low-Field Nuclear Magnetic Resonance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Zero- to ultra-low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (ZULF NMR) provides a new regime for the measurement of nuclear spin-spin interactions free from effects of large magnetic fields, such as truncation of terms that do not commute with the Zeeman ...
