Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, 1989
AbstractIn magnetic resonance imaging, if the object of interest is known to be spatially bounded within the image field‐of‐view. then the high‐intensity, low spatial frequencies can be determined by postprocessing. This allows the system receiver gain to be increased, thereby decreasing the quantization noise from the analog‐to‐digital converters.

Low-Frequency Electromagnetic Scattering
SIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 2000The authors study the scattering problem for the time harmonic Maxwell system. The problem is formulated in variational form on a bounded domain by the use of a nonlocal boundary condition. The main part of this paper is concerned with the expansion of the solution into a power series with respect to the frequency.

The low-frequency vibrations of triptycene
The Journal of Physical Chemistry, 1992The ground-state vibrational spectra of triptycene (9,10-dihydro-9,10[1',2']benzenoanthracene) were studied by fluorescence emission and IR and Raman spectroscopies, as well as by semiempirical (AM1) and ab initio (Hartree-Fock) quantum chemical calculations.

On dislocation damping at low frequencies
Philosophical Magazine A, 1993Abstract The relaxation dynamics of a dislocation network is modelled as a self-organized critical process. Under very general assumptions (energy conservation and isotropy), finite values for the low-frequency damping are obtained, in agreement with recent experimental observations.
