An Adaptive Matrix Pencil Algorithm Based-Wavelet Soft-Threshold Denoising for Analysis of Low Frequency Oscillation in Power Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
One of the main reasons that affecting the stability of power systems is low frequency oscillation (LFO). The existence of noise influences the accuracy of LFO mode identification extracted from wide-area measurement system (WAMS).

Householder-based Prony Method for Identification of Low-frequency Oscillation in Power System [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
In this paper, the Prony analysis tool with the software used in the actual operation has a large error. The improved Prony method is used to identify the low-frequency oscillation mode of the power system. The traditional Prony algorithm has the problem

Analysis of Mode Interaction in Ultra-low Frequency Oscillation Based on Trajectory Eigenvalue

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2020
Complex phenomena such as prolongedly undamped ultra-low frequency oscillation (ULFO) and eigenmode re-excitation are observed in the simulations of hydroelectric power systems.

Small-Signal Stability Analysis of Photovoltaic-Hydro Integrated Systems on Ultra-Low Frequency Oscillation

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
In recent years, ultralow-frequency oscillation has repeatedly occurred in asynchronously connected regional power systems and brought serious threats to the operation of power grids.

Identification of low frequency oscillation modes in large transmission systems

open access: yesRevista Facultad de Ingeniería Universidad de Antioquia, 2017
There is a typical dynamical performance associated with every system. Oscillations are phenomena inherent to dynamical systems and the analysis of such phenomena is a fundamental issue for understanding the dynamical behavior of a particular system ...

Online Monitoring of Low-Frequency Oscillation Based on the Improved Analytical Modal Decomposition Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
With increasing complexity of the power system, and the gradually expanding scales, the probability of low-frequency oscillation (LFO) is increasing, and its performance is more diverse.

Nonergodic Brownian oscillator: low-frequency response

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Mechanics: Theory and Experiment, 2023
Abstract An undisturbed Brownian oscillator may not reach thermal equilibrium with the thermal bath due to the formation of a localized normal mode. The latter may emerge when the spectrum of the thermal bath has a finite upper bound ω 0 and the oscillator natural frequency exceeds a critical value

Low frequency longitudinal relaxation oscillation [PDF]

open access: yesPACS2001. Proceedings of the 2001 Particle Accelerator Conference (Cat. No.01CH37268), 2002
From the recent data analysis of the longitudinal feedback system and the streak camera, we have found a longitudinal relaxation beam oscillation whose frequency is a multiple of 36 Hz. When the relaxation oscillation is generated, horizontally oscillating wide beams are observed at the diagnostic beamline, and the beam lifetime is fluctuated.

Research on Damping Control Index of Ultra-Low-Frequency Oscillation in Hydro-Dominant Power Systems

open access: yes, 2020
In recent years, ultra-low-frequency oscillation (ULFO) is a prominent problem in power systems of dominant hydropower. In order to suppress ULFO, the most effective strategy is the governor parameters optimization to improve the system damping within ...
