Modeling and Performance Analysis of Route-Over and Mesh-Under Routing Schemes in 6LoWPAN under Error-Prone Channel Condition

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
6LoWPAN technology has attracted extensive attention recently. It is because 6LoWPAN is one of Internet of Things standard and it adapts to IPv6 protocol stack over low-rate wireless personal area network, such as IEEE 802.15.4.

Parasitic sea louse infestations on wild sea trout: separating the roles of fish farms and temperature

open access: yesParasites & Vectors, 2018
Background The causal relation between parasitic sea lice on fish farms and sea lice on wild fish is a controversial subject. A specific scientific debate has been whether the statistical association between infestation pressure (IP) from fish farms and ...

Resource Management and IP Interoperability for Low Power Wide Area Networks

open access: yes, 2020
Low Power Wide Area Networks (LPWANs) such as LoRaWAN, Sigfox, and NBIoT present a novel communication paradigm, which complements the traditional short-range Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). LPWANs promise to provide wide-area connectivity (up to tens of kilometers) and low-power operations (up to 10years) for a massive number of low-cost devices ...

Field performance and cost‐effectiveness of a point‐of‐care triage test for HIV virological failure in Southern Africa

open access: yesJournal of the International AIDS Society, 2023
Introduction Antiretroviral therapy (ART) monitoring using viral load (VL) testing is challenging in high‐burden, limited‐resources settings. Chemokine IP‐10 (interferon gamma‐induced protein 10) strongly correlates with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
