MOND rotation curves of very low mass spiral galaxies [PDF]
We present MOND analysis for several of the lowest mass disc galaxies currently amenable to such analysis--with (baryonic) masses below 4x10^8 solar masses. The agreement is good, extending the validity of MOND and its predicted mass velocity relation, to such low masses.

Unstable low-mass planetary systems as drivers of white dwarf pollution [PDF]
At least 25 percent of white dwarfs show atmospheric pollution by metals, sometimes accompanied by detectable circumstellar dust/gas discs or (in the case of WD 1145+017) transiting disintegrating asteroids.

Analytical model of low mass strange stars in 2+1 spacetime [PDF]
The low mass compact stars are quite fascinating objects to study for their enigmatic behaviour. In this paper, we have modeled this kind of low mass strange stars based on the Heintzmann ansatz (H. Heintzmann., Zeitschrift f\"ur Physik, vol.228, 489, 1969.) in $(2+1)$ dimension.

Five new very low mass binaries [PDF]
We report the discovery of companions to 5 nearby late M dwarfs (>M5), LHS1901, LHS4009, LHS6167, LP869-26 and WT460, and we confirm that the recently discovered mid-T brown dwarf companion to SCR1845-6357 is physically bound to that star.

Prognostic impact of low muscle mass and low muscle density in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma [PDF]
Low muscle mass (LMM) and low muscle density (LMD) are increasingly recognized as prognostic factors for survival in different malignancies. This study determined the association of LMM and LMD with survival in DLBCL (diffuse large B-cell lymphoma ...

THE ELM SURVEY. VII. ORBITAL PROPERTIES OF LOW-MASS WHITE DWARF BINARIES [PDF]
We present the discovery of 15 extremely low-mass ( 5 < log g < 7 ?> ) white dwarf (WD) candidates, 9 of which are in ultra-compact double-degenerate binaries. Our targeted extremely low-mass Survey sample now includes 76 binaries.

The self-similarity theory of high pressure torsion
By analyzing the problem of high pressure torsion (HPT) in the rigid plastic formulation, we show that the power hardening law of plastically deformed materials leads to self-similarity of HPT, admitting a simple mathematical description of the process ...

Planet gap opening across stellar masses [PDF]
Annular structures in proto-planetary discs, such as gaps and rings, are now ubiquitously found by high-resolution ALMA observations. Under the hypothesis that they are opened by planets, in this paper we investigate how the minimum planet mass needed to open a gap varies across different stellar host masses and distances from the star.

A decline in physical function is common among elderly people who have lost both bone and muscle mass. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between low bone and muscle mass and physical function in elderly women of different age ...
