Constant and switched bias low frequency noise in p-MOSFETs with varying gate oxide thickness [PDF]
The low-frequency noise power spectral density of MOSFETs is decreased if the MOSFETs are periodically switched 'off' (switched bias conditions). The influence of the gate oxide thickness on fixed bias and switched biased low frequency drain current ...

The InGaAs-InAlAs-InP high electron mobility transistor (InP HEMT) is the preferred active device used in a cryogenic low noise amplifier (LNA) for sensitive detection of microwave signals. We have investigated the angular dependence of the InP HEMT when

Temporal Noise Analysis of Charge-Domain Sampling Readout Circuits for CMOS Image Sensors
This paper presents a temporal noise analysis of charge-domain sampling readout circuits for Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) image sensors. In order to address the trade-off between the low input-referred noise and high dynamic range, a Gm-

A low‐noise current‐reused CMOS active inductor by exploiting Gm‐boosting technique
This work introduces a new low‐noise current‐reused CMOS active inductor (AI) based on Gyrator‐C configuration. In the proposed AI, a simple common‐source amplifier is utilised for boosting effective Gm and improving noise performance of the AI.

Low multiplication noise thin Al0.6Ga0.4As avalanche photodiodes [PDF]
Avalanche multiplication and excess noise were measured on a series of Al0.6Ga0.4As p+in+ and n+ip+ diodes, with avalanche region thickness, w ranging from 0.026 μm to 0.85 μm.

A Low Noise Receiver for Submillimeter Astronomy [PDF]
A broadband, low noise heterodyne receiver, suitable for astronomical use, has been built using a Pb alloy superconducting tunnel junction (SIS). The RF coupling is quasioptical via a bowtie antenna on a quartz lens and is accomplished without any tuning

The X-ray fast-time variability of Sco X-2 (GX 349+2) with RXTE [PDF]
Sco X-2 (GX 349+2) is a low-mass X-ray binary and Z source. We have analysed 156 ks of Rossi X-ray Timing Explorer data, obtained in 1998 January, on this source. We investigated the fast-time variability as a function of position on the Z track.
