SIGNIFICANCE OF OBSTETRIC FACTORS IN PROGNOSIS OF LOW BIRTHWEIGHT CHILDREN
OBSTETRICAL & GYNECOLOGICAL SURVEY, 1976Abstract. Obstetric factors were studied in ah unselected series of mothers of LBW‐children and compared with those in a corresponding control series. Both groups consisted of 161 women with single pregnancies and 16 with twin pregnancies. Of the 188 LBW‐children, 14% were twins. Of the single infants, 42% were appropriate for gestational age (AGA), i.

CHANGING PROGNOSIS FOR INFANTS OF VERY LOW BIRTH WEIGHT
The Lancet, 1971Abstract The developmental progress of 68 (94%) of 72 surviving infants born during 1966-69 who weighed 1500 g. (3 lb. 4 oz.) or less at birth has been assessed at follow-up. At a mean conceptual age of 2 years 3 months (range 9 months to 4 years 3 months) 59 (86.7%) appear to be normal children, 5 (7.4%) are abnormal, and 4 (5.9%) are classified as "

Prognosis of low-flow low-gradient aortic valve stenosis with atrial fibrillation
Journal of CardiologyThe prognosis for patients with low-flow low-gradient (LFLG) aortic valve stenosis (AS) remains controversial. In general, atrial fibrillation (AF) is one factor determining the LF status in patients with severe AS (SAS). However, the association between concomitant AF in LFLG AS and the risk of heart failure (HF) remains unclear. This study evaluated ...

Oligosaccharide Markers for Prognosis of Low-Risk Breast Cancer.
1995Abstract : Earlier results from this project suggested that the prognosis for patients with node-negative ductal breast carcinomas was poor, when tumor cells expressed the cell-surface Lea-LeX cell-surface oligosaceharide. However, the statistical significance of this finding was lost, when results obtained during the past year analyzing tumor specimen
