Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Study on a Novel Absorption Referigeration System at Low Cooling Temperatures
A novel absorption refrigeration system is proposed in this context using R134a+R23 mixed refrigerants and DMF solvent. The new system uses two-staged absorber in series to reduce the evaporation pressure and can obtain a lower refrigeration temperature ...

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Excess arsenic in GaAs grown at low temperatures by molecular beam epitaxy
The structural properties of GaAs grown at low temperatures by molecular beam epitaxy (LTMBE GaAs) were studied. The excess arsenic atoms in LTMBE GaAs exist in the form of arsenic interstitial couples (i,e, two ns atoms share the one host site), and ...

Features of the magnetic properties of quasi-one-dimensional beta-TeVO4 magnets at low temperatures
The effect of a magnetic field on the magnetic susceptibility chi(T) and the temperature of the three magnetic phase transitions in single-crystal beta-TeVO4 is studied at low temperatures.

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Thermal Properties of Two Materials Commonly Usedin Low Temperature Laboratories [PDF]
We carried out measurements of thermal conductance and thermal contact resistance of two materials commonly used in low temperature laboratories such as an Electro-Magnetic Interference (EMI) Filter and Stycast 2850 FT epoxy.
