Lower Ordovican acritarchs from successions in England and North Wales. [PDF]
One hundred and thirty eight acritarch taxa are described from the organic residues of samples collected in North Wales, Shropshire, and the Lake District. The species occur in one or more of 16 microfloral assemblages, selected from 88 prepared samples.

Evidence for regulation of transpiration in nonstomatal plants: insights from bryophyte gametophytes
Kinetics of cell wall water vapor potential (Ψcw) and resistance of cell wall and plasmatic membrane to water flux in response to cytoplasmic water potential (Ψcyt) during dehydration. Ψcyt was calculated from the WC at any moment of the dehydration curve by using the relationship between −1/Ψw and WC of pressure volume curves and assuming Ψw = Ψcyt ...

Gas exchange and pulmonary stress variations during SCUBA and breath‐hold diving in open seawater
Abstract figure legend Healthy, trained divers were studied before, during and after diving in open seawater with different techniques. SCUBA divers (diving to 15 or 40 m with air; cycling at depth) and breath‐hold divers (BHDs; sled‐assisted dives to 15, 25 or 40 m) underwent underwater and surface arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling.

Early diversification of seeds and seed-like structures
The seed habit is one of the most important evolutionary acquisition in plant evolution. It allowed colonisation of new ecological niches, leading to a level of diversification never observed before.
