A routine method of ascending venography of the lower limb, capable of demonstrating the presence or absence of functioning valves in the deep veins, is described. The technique is given in detail. One rapid and one slow injection of contrast medium are given. Optimum timing for the radiographic exposures has been evolved.

The Journal of Vascular Access, 2014
Lower limb vascular access is used as an access site in patients in whom all upper limb possibilities for arteriovenous access creation are exhausted or with bilateral upper limb central vein occlusions. Autologous arteriovenous fistulae (AVF) using the greater saphenous vein have disappointing results apart from the isolated success.

Injuries of the Limbs in Polytrauma: Upper and Lower Limbs
2017Extremity injuries are the second most common traumatic injuries after head injuries and account until 80% of all cases of vascular trauma. Peripheral injuries are usually not immediately lethal, whether due to penetrating or blunt injuries; nevertheless, a prompt identification of the injuries is crucial for a correct management.
