Upper Precambrian–Lower Cambrian biota from the northwest of Argentina

Geological Magazine, 1986
AbstractThe principal characters of the biota from Upper Precambrian–Lower Cambrian rocks in the northwest of Argentina are described. It is possible to observe two groups: the trace fossils and the medusoid impressions. At the same time, a regional palaeogeographical analysis is attempted as well as a comparison with outcrops of similar age from the ...

Geology of lower Precambrian in Shilka-Olekma interstream area

International Geology Review, 1967
The area, an alternation of large synclinoria and anticlinoria, proves to be a direct southwest extension of the early Proterozoic Stanovoy folded zone, a differentiated geosynelinal downwarp with a radical structural unconformity to its deeply metamorphosed Archean base. — IGR Staff.

The discovery of retene in Precambrian and Lower Paleozoic marine formations

Chinese Journal of Geochemistry, 1995
Microscopic and SEM observations of thin sections and kerogens and GC-MS analyses of aromatic fractions in sediment extracts and pyrolysis products of kerogens provide strong evidence suggesting that in the Lower Yangtze Valley area the Sinian and Lower Paleozoic carbonate formations of marine facies received no higher plant input, but there was ...

Spectral analysis of a Precambrian limestone-shale sequence, lower Vindhyan, India

Precambrian Research, 1988
Abstract The Precambrian Lower Vindhyan limestone-shale sequence which exhibits predominantly subtidal shelf facies, has been subjected to the power spectrum analysis. The limestone percentages calculated at 20 cm intervals at Pipradih I (Tuira-Pipradih) and Pipradih II (Dhabua) sections form raw data for the analysis.

Lower precambrian metapelites of the Yenisei Range: REE systematics, provenances, paleogeodynamics

Doklady Earth Sciences, 2010
The Yenisei Range represents a Precambrianfolded structure in the southwestern margin of theSiberian Craton. The Lower Precambrian rock associations in the southerly located Angara–Kan block arerepresented by the Kan granulite–gneiss and Yeniseischist—gneiss complexes. North of the Angara River, gneisses and crystalline schists outcrop in the Yeniseiand

Microfossils from the Lower Kundelungu (Late Precambrian) of Zambia

Precambrian Research, 1977
Abstract Lower Kundelungu black argillites and silty dolomicrites from the Ndola area contain a rich microfossil assemblage, of which several forms can be attributed to the form-genus Fibularix Pflug, 1965. The same assemblage has also been found in fine-grained, mildly metamorphosed sedimentary rocks from Kalengwa and Karibarembi (North-Western ...

Geotectonic evolution of the Siberian platform during the Precambrian and comparison with the lower Precambrian complexes of eastern Asia

Journal of Southeast Asian Earth Sciences, 1990
Abstract The main stages of the geotectonic evolution during the Precambrian of the Siberian platform are older than those in the other blocks of eastern Asia. Upper Proterozoic orogenic stages took place in north China-Korean blocks near the collision boundary with the south China block. Such Upper Proterozoic stages are characteristic for the south
