Resistencia inducida del conejo a dosis elevadas de veneno de Loxosceles laeta
Toxicon, 1970Venom of the spider Loxosceles laeta was prepared from venom glands triturated in saline. Venom of female spiders had a minimum necrotizing dose of 1/16 gland and an ld50 of 1·5 glands on i.d. injection into rabbits. Venom of male spiders was much weaker and was not used in the experiments dealing with resistance.

A new species of Loxosceles of the laeta group from Brazil (Araneae: Sicariidae)
Zootaxa, 2002A new species of Loxosceles, L. puortoi, is described from Palmas, State of Tocantins, Brazil. This is the first native species of the laeta group known for Brazil. Males can be distinguished from other species of this group by the very long and narrow femur and tibia of the male palp.
