An Inequality of Ostrowski Type for Twice Differentiable Mappings in Terms of the Lp Norm and Applications

open access: yes, 1999
An inequality of the Ostrowski type for twice differentiable mappings whose derivatives belong to Lp (a, b) , 1 < p < ∞, and applications to special means and numerical integration are ...

Texoskeletons: Developing the Fundamental Technologies for Creating Intelligent Soft Robotic Clothing With Integrated 1D Sensors and Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traditional wearable exoskeletons rely on rigid structures, which limit comfort, flexibility, and everyday usability. This work introduces the fundamental technologies to create the first soft, lightweight, intelligent textile‐based exoskeletons (Texoskeletons) built using 1D sensors and actuators.

Resolving the Cu(bdc) Conundrum: Identifying Non‐Porous Packing of Prototypical Coordination‐Network Thin Films Combining Advanced Diffraction Techniques and Computational Modelling

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Solution‐processed Cu(bdc) forms prototypical MOF thin films for which a multitude of not fully satisfactory structural models have been suggested. Combining rotating grazing‐incidence diffraction and X‐ray reflectivity on two complementary samples with density‐functional theory, we first discard the previously suggested models and then identify a non ...

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

Image Inpainting with Fractional Laplacian Regularization: An Lp Norm Approach

open access: yes
This study presents an image inpainting model based on an energy functional that incorporates the Lp norm of the fractional Laplacian operator as a regularization term and the H−1 norm as a fidelity term.

Janus Photonic Graphics by Stratified Assembly of Two Distinct Colloids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Double‐sided Janus photonic micropatterns with vivid structural colors are fabricated through a single‐step bottom‐up strategy. Density‐driven stratification and depletion‐mediated crystallization of PMMA and PS binary colloids lead to exclusive lattices on opposite surfaces under centrifugal force.

Sharp constant of Hardy operators corresponding to general positive measures

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
We investigate a new kind of Hardy operator Hμ $H_{\mu}$ with respect to arbitrary positive measures μ and prove that Hμ $H_{\mu}$ is bounded on Lp(dμ) $L^{p}(d\mu)$ with an upper constant p/(p−1) $p/(p-1)$.

Joint inversion of gravity gradient and magnetic data using mixed Lp norm regularization

open access: yes, 2021
This software implements joint inversion of gravity gradient and magnetic data using mixed Lp norm regularization and cross-gradients. The mixed Lp norm inversion for a single date type was first proposed by Fournier and Oldenburg (2019).

A Long‐Lived Human Neurovascular PENTA Culture Model Captures Incomplete Vascular Repair and Glia‐Associated Signaling After Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A long‐lived, five‐cell‐type human neurovascular (PENTA) model recreates vascular disorganization and incomplete repair after traumatic brain injury (TBI). By integrating endothelial, glial, neuronal, and immune components within a 3D scaffold, the platform enables time‐resolved analysis of neurovascular remodeling and provides a human‐relevant system ...

Classifying Complemented Subspaces of Lp with Alspach Norm

open access: yes, 2011
Color poster with text.Understanding the complemented subspaces of Lp has been an interesting topic of research in Banach space theory since 1960. In 1999, Dr. Dale E.
