Interception of LPI radar signals

IEEE International Conference on Radar, 2002
The interception problem is reviewed, an LPI radar design is examined and the performance of intercept receivers of the future is considered. The receiver needed to intercept LPI signals must respond across a broad band and provide noncoherent integration capabilities over times comparable to the coherent (or noncoherent) integration times used by ...

LPI Optical Communication System

MILCOM 1984 - IEEE Military Communications Conference, 1984
An optical communication system based on the use of the GaAs laser diode as the light source has been developed and demonstrated. The system uses one inch transmit optics to provide a beam-width of about 18 mrad and has a receive field of view of about 35 mrad with 2 inch optics.

LPI/LPD Detection Sensitivity Limitations

2014 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2014
LPI/LPD (Low Probability of Intercept/Low Probability of Detection) analyses typically follow the original work of Urkowitz [1] to obtain probability of detection for a specified false alarm rate. Such analyses are based on a uniform time invariant noise background.

Meteor burst communications LPI applications

IEEE Conference on Military Communications, 2002
A technique that enhances the performance of meteor-burst communications is described. The technique, the feedback adaptive variable rate (FAVR) system, maintains a feedback channel that allows the transmitted bit rate to mimic the time behavior of the received power so that a constant bit energy is maintained. This results in a constant probability of

LPI waveforms for active sonar?

2004 IEEE Aerospace Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.04TH8720), 2004
The idea of a low probability of intercept (LPI) waveform is that its form is chaotic. It can of course be recalled by the transmitter (platform), and matched to what is received; but to the target it appears only as noise, and consequently the robust target receiver can only detect a rise in energy.

LPI target tracking involving IEKF

2019 International Radar Conference (RADAR), 2019
We report on strategies and algorithms to track aerial targets with Low Probability of Interception (LPI). We especially focus on the IEKF which is well adapted to maneuvering targets and EKF in log-spherical coordinates to estimate the distance to a target with angle-only measurements.

LPI-labile plasma iron in iron overload

Best Practice & Research Clinical Haematology, 2005
Labile plasma iron (LPI) represents a component of non-transferrin-bound iron (NTBI) that is both redox-active and chelatable, capable of permeating into organs and inducing tissue iron overload. It appears in various types of hemosiderosis (transfusional and non-transfusional) and in other iron-overload conditions.

Vakinhoudelijk leiderschap en de LPI

Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Evidence Based Practice, 2010

LPI Radar Sinyallerinin Ozimge Yaklasimi ile Siniflandirilmasi Classification of LPI Radar Signals via Eigenimage Approach

2007 IEEE 15th Signal Processing and Communications Applications, 2007
Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) Radar signals have the property of wide bandwidth, low peak power to make them difflcult to be detected by Electronic Support Measures (ESM) receivers. In this study, the detection performances of LPI Radar signals with Wigner-Ville Distributions are examined by treating each distribution as an image.

LPIdomains and Pullbacks

Communications in Algebra, 2014
In this paper, we will investigate a question of Anderson–Zafrullah of whether an LPI domain (every nonzero locally principal ideal is invertible) has finite prime character and characterize pullbacks that are LPI domains.
