LPI Radar Systems with Spatial Feedback

2006 International Radar Symposium, 2006
The radar system with spatial feedback is considered. In this system there are self-oscillations, if the system is closed through a space of the signal radio-path and the target. When the target is absent (system is not closed), transmitter output power of the noise signal is insignificant, and that complicates detection of the radar radiation.

SAR processing To localize LPI radars

2014 International Radar Conference, 2014
In this paper a new passive imaging method is introduced that is mainly suitable for Geo-locating LPI radars. The method uses two Electronic Support (ES) receivers located on a fast moving platform (e.g. an airplane or a satellite). The proposed method has a high processing gain which makes it absolutely suitable against very weak LPI signals.

LPI performance of digital array radars

IET Conference Publications, 2009
In the modern battlefield, radar faces more and more serious threats from ECM (electronic counter measure) and ARM (anti radiation missile), etc. Only the LPI (low probability of intercept) radar can survive. DAR (digital array radar) has higher flexibility of digital processing and offers a number of attractive features than conventional phased array ...

LPI Performance Optimization Scheme for a Joint Radar-Communications System

2020 IEEE 11th Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Workshop (SAM), 2020
In this paper, a low probability of intercept (LPI) performance optimization scheme for a joint radar-communications system (JRCS) is proposed, which is able to simultaneously estimate channel parameters from the target returns and decode the received communications signals.

A detection algorithm of LPI radar signals

Signal Processing Algorithms, Architectures, Arrangements, and Applications SPA 2007, 2007
Low Probability Intercept (LPI) signals are a class of radar signals that possess certain features (low power, wide bandwidth, frequency variability, ...) that make them difficult detectable by today's intercept receivers. The paper describes implementation of a LPI radar signal detection algorithm based on two-dimensional signal representation, noise ...

Poly-phase signal design for LPI radar

2017 International Conference on Intelligent Computing, Instrumentation and Control Technologies (ICICICT), 2017
This paper address the problem of constructing a new hybrid waveform design using poly-phase modulation techniques to optimize detection performance of LPI radar. phase code pulse compression waveforms using Frequency hopping are designed to reduced the radio frequency signals being intercepted. Poly-phase coded signals such as Quaternary phase(4-phase)

A metric evaluation of the power management for LPI radar

2016 CIE International Conference on Radar (RADAR), 2016
Low probability of intercept (LPI) radars have developed into important tactical requirements due to its RF stealth. One of the important features of LPI radars is power management. The acceptance of a power management strategy is evaluated by leveraging numerical evaluation.

Radar power control method based on IMM-IF in LPI radar network

2016 CIE International Conference on Radar (RADAR), 2016
In order to achieve the important tactical requirement of low probability of intercept (LPI) in the radar network, dynamically controlling the emission of the radars is very necessary. Firstly, a data fusion method based on an interacting multiple model and information filtering (IMM-IF) algorithm is presented.

A novel method for LPI radar signal sorting in multipath channel

2012 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2012
Signal sorting of low probability of interception (LPI) radar signals is extremely important in electronic support measurement (ESM) systems. Usually, there are multipath interferences in the intercepted signals, which result in the decrease of signal sorting performance of conventional methods. In this paper, we present a local ambiguity function (AF)-
