Model reduction of stabilizable nonstationary LPV models
42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004This paper provides a systematic approach for the model reduction of nonstationary linear parameter-varying (NLPV) models without the restriction that the model in question must be stable. The approach requires the development and use of coprime factorizations for NLPV models.

LPV models: Identification for gain scheduling control
2001 European Control Conference (ECC), 2001In this paper the use of discrete-time Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) models for the gain scheduling control and identification methods for non-linear or time-varying system is considered. We report an overview on the existing literature on LPV systems for gain scheduling control and identification.

LPV modelling and LPV observer-based fault detection for wind turbine systems
2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN), 2016In this paper, linear parameter varying (LPV) modelling technique is addressed for modelling a wind turbine system, with real-time changing scheduling parameters. Based on the LPV wind turbine model, a LPV observer-based fault detection method is utilized to detect faults under four scenarios.

Hybrid LPV modeling and identification
2011In the last two decades, LPV and Hybrid Switching models have been extensively studied and identification and control design techniques have been devised. In the present chapter, after an overview of the existing literature, starting from some motivating examples, we introduce the modeling of Hybrid LPV systems.

Compact LFT-LPV modeling with automated parameterization for efficient LPV controller synthesis
2015 American Control Conference (ACC), 2015A systematic approach to the derivation of Linear Fractional Transformation (LFT)-based Linear Parameter-Varying (LPV) representations for descriptor systems is proposed. Explicit compact rational and affine representations with full non-square parameter blocks are formulated.

Model reduction of nonstationary LPV systems
Proceedings of the 41st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002., 2003This paper focuses on the model reduction of nonstationary linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems. We provide an explicit method for the model reduction of such systems, along with an a priori error bound, which amounts to the generalization of balanced truncation to this nonstationary LPV setting.

LPV Model-Based Gain-Scheduled Control of a Space Manipulator
IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2018In this paper, the linear parameter varying (LPV) gain-scheduled control method is applied to a two-link space manipulator (SM). The dynamic model of the SM is first derived by taking advantage of the dynamically equivalent manipulator (DEM) approach to ...
