Discretization of LPV Systems

2010
This chapter is devoted to the discretization of LPV systems through the discrete-time projection of their state-space representations. Both exact and approximative approaches are developed in a zero-order hold setting. Primary attention is given to the discretization of state-space representations with static coefficient dependence.

Control of LPV systems with partly-measured parameters

Proceedings of the 36th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 1999
In this paper, the control of linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems with time-varying real uncertain parameters, where only some of the parameters are measured and available for feedback is considered. The control objectives are internal stability and disturbance attenuation in the sense of a bounded induced L/sub 2/-norm from the external disturbance

LPV Systems and Representations

2010
In this chapter, a behavioral framework of LPV systems is introduced as an extension of the LTI behavioral approach. This is done with the intention to give a unified view on LPV system theory, that enables to approach LPV system identification in a well-founded system theoretic sense.

LPV modelling and LPV observer-based fault detection for wind turbine systems

2016 IEEE 14th International Conference on Industrial Informatics (INDIN), 2016
In this paper, linear parameter varying (LPV) modelling technique is addressed for modelling a wind turbine system, with real-time changing scheduling parameters. Based on the LPV wind turbine model, a LPV observer-based fault detection method is utilized to detect faults under four scenarios.

Identification methods for LPV MIMO systems

Proceedings of the 41st SICE Annual Conference. SICE 2002., 2003
In this paper, we propose two identification methods for a class of multi-input multi-output discrete-time linear parameter-varying systems. The methods are based on the subspace state space method. We present numerical simulations to demonstrate the efficacy of the methods.

Detection Filter Design for LPV Systems *

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2000
Abstract This paper investigates the problem of fault detection and isolation in linear parameter varying (LPV) systems. The results extend the so called detection filters approach proposed for linear time invariant (LTI) systems for a class of LPV systems.

Polytopic Observers for LPV Discrete-Time Systems

2013
The main goal of this work is to give a general treatment on observer synthesis for LPV systems in the framework of Linear Matrix Inequalities.A special Parameter Dependent Lyapunov Function, called poly-quadratic Lyapunov function, is considered. It incorporates the parameter variations for LPV systems with polytopic parameter dependence and allows to

Failure detection for quasi LPV systems

Proceedings of the 41st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002., 2003
By using the concept of parameter varying (CA)invariant subspace and parameter varying unobservability subspace, this paper investigates the problem of fault detection and isolation for quasi linear parameter varying (qLPV) systems. The so called detection filters approach, formulated as the fundamental problem of residual generation (FPRG) for linear ...
