Analysis of the optimization landscape of Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control
Mathematical programming, 2021This paper revisits the classical Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) control from a modern optimization perspective. We analyze two aspects of the optimization landscape of the LQG problem: (1) Connectivity of the set of stabilizing controllers $$\mathcal ...

Joint Sensor and Actuator Placement for Infinite-Horizon LQG Control
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2022We consider the problem of sensor and actuator (SaA) placement to minimize an infinite-horizon linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) cost for a discrete-time Gauss–Markov system.

Vibration control of improved LQG for wheel drive electric vehicle based on uncertain parameters
, 2021To improve the ride comfort of wheel drive electric vehicle, a quarter dynamic model is established for vehicle active and passive suspension. Based on the response root mean square (RMS), the evaluation index of vehicle ride comfort is derived ...

Convex analysis for LQG systems with applications to major–minor LQG mean–field game systems
We develop a convex analysis approach for solving LQG optimal control problems and apply it to major-minor (MM) LQG mean-field game (MFG) systems. The approach retrieves the best response strategies for the major agent and all minor agents that attain an $ε$-Nash equilibrium.

On the LQG and LQG/LTR methodology
Proceedings 2000 International Workshop on Autonomous Decentralized System (Cat. No.00EX449), 2002The paper considers the well-known linear quadratic Gaussian with loop transfer recovery (LQG/LTR) methodology as a special case of standard LQG methodology. In another words, problems solved using LQG/LTR methodology can equally be solved by the standard LQG methodology. In this way we can directly tackle the problem we want to solve.

Vertical acceleration control using LQG approach for a passenger ship
In this paper, vertical motion (heave, roll, and pitch) state estimation and control simulation are performed by using the LQG approach. Cummins' equation is used to represent the mathematical model of 3DOF ship motions. A passenger ship in irregular bow

Probe into Necessity of Active Suspension Based on LQG Control [PDF]
The objective of this research is to provide a systematic probe into necessity of the active suspension based on LQG control for supplying some reference to optimal design of the suspension based on LQG control.

On the inverse LQG homing problem
Proceedings of NAS RA. Mathematics, 2022The problem of minimizing or maximizing the time spent by a controlled diffusion process in a given interval is known as LQG homing. The optimal control, when it is possible to obtain an explicit solution to such a problem, is often expressed as special functions.

LQG-optimal feedforward regulators
Automatica, 1988A polynomial LQG approach for designing feedforward regulators is presented and scalar discrete-time systems are considered. Given a linear system and possibly a prespecified feedback, optimal feedforward filters for non-minimum phase systems can be calculated in a simple way.
