T-element analysis of plates on unilateral elastic Winkler-type foundation
This paper presents a hybrid-Trefftz finite element algorithm designated as fictitious load approach. Its originality resides in the formulation and practical application of concepts which make it possible to account for the unilateral contact ...

Energy Transfer in Nanodroplet‐Based Luminescent Solar Concentrators
We present novel luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) featuring polymer composites with fluorescent dye‐doped oil nanodroplets. This liquid environment ensures high dye solubility and preserves fluorescence quantum yields, even at high local dye concentrations.

Activatable smart contrast agents for photoacoustic imaging
This review highlights recent advances in smart activatable photoacoustic imaging (PAI) contrast agents, which dynamically modulate their optical properties in response to external stimuli or microenvironmental cues. It discusses their molecular design, activation mechanisms, biomedical applications, and future prospects for clinically tailored use ...

NEXT: Searching for the ββ0νDecay at the LSC [PDF]
The goal of the NEXT collaboration is the sensitive search of the neutrino-less double beta decay ([Formula: see text]) of [Formula: see text]Xe at the LSC. After a successful R&D phase, a first large-scale prototype of a high-pressure gas-Xenon electroluminescent TPC (NEW) is being operated at LSC since 2016.

The study presents a dynamic zonal model for hydrogen plasma smelting reduction (HPSR) in direct current arc furnaces, predicting time‐dependent behavior of metal, slag, and off‐gas. The study considers various industrial scenarios to quantify energy demand, hydrogen utilization, degree of reduction, and other operational sensitivities.

Low-dimensional compact states in 3D moiré lattices
Moiré lattices formed by superimposing rotated two-dimensional (2D) periodic sublattices, such as twisted bilayer graphene, can exhibit fascinating properties not observed in their individual constituent layers.
