Half-life determination of 40K by LSC

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2002
The long-lived radioisotope 40K is one of the isotopes applied by geologists to date rocks hundreds or even thousands of millions of years old. Knowing the half-life of 40K, the potassium-argon (K-Ar) method gives an estimate of the date of the rock's formation by measuring the quantity of the daughter stable isotope 40Ar.

The Canfranc Underground Laboratory (LSC)

The European Physical Journal Plus, 2012
The Canfranc Underground Laboratory, presently the second largest in Europe, is located under the Mount Tobazo in the central Spanish Pyrenees, in the province of Huesca in Aragon. After recalling a few historical elements, I shall describe the LSC infrastructures and services both underground and the support ones on the surface.

SYNTHESIZING STATE-BASED OBJECT SYSTEMS FROM LSC SPECIFICATIONS

International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2001
Live sequence charts (LSCs) have been defined recently as an extension of message sequence charts (MSCs; or their UML variant, sequence charts (MSCs; or their UML variant, sequence diagrams) for rich inter-object specification. One of the main additions is the notion of universal charts and hot, mandatory behavior, which, among other things, enables ...

Distinguishing CML LSCs from HSCs using CD26

Blood, 2014
In this issue of Blood, Herrmann et al elegantly demonstrate that CD26 is a new, specific chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) stem cell biomarker that phenotypically distinguishes leukemic stem cells (LSCs) from normal hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs), and that it is a potential therapeutic target in CML.

Toward distinguishing LSCs from HSCs

Blood, 2007
LSCs make up a critical, but very rare, population that is very difficult to study in vivo. Neering and colleagues developed a unique mouse model system in which the properties of human LSCs are closely mimicked during CML development.

Lentiviral Transduction for Optimal LSC/HSC Manipulation

2020
Historically, efficient transduction of hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) to study the role of specific genes on HSC function, as well as to broaden the potential of gene therapy for hematopoietic related diseases has relied on our ability to design vectors capable of delivering the gene of interest without affecting HSC function.
